The atmosphere for Denmark makes you wish all the stadiums had more capacity, just added to the drama and excitement. The entire passage for the 3rd was lovely stuff, the saved header, the saved shot from close...then the howitzer from 25 yards out.

Nah, Ashley wants to sell to these lot because they’ve probably not discounted him on value like everyone else has, they have connections to markets he wants to get involved in and it’s clearly the most advantageous and connected buyer group he’s ever had talks with. Right now he’s spent millions on legal fees and has had 0 in return for this but an asset he doesn’t want to own any longer.

Not playing the best 11 players that fit into a specific system to create the best team has fucking forever been England’s issue since god knows how long. It’s always big names and then no direction. I hate seeing this because we’re watching a 120m player in Sancho sitting the bench for a tourney when he’s clearly the best right winger England have. We’re watching Graelish sit the bench for Raheem Sterling who had a season where he wasn’t his best. Wild. Shameful leadership on the pitch too. Jordan Henderson needs to be out there because maybe he will give these a kick in the backside. Too much talent to be drawing Scotland. This team needs to play like they should and be dominating this tourney.

I can't wait for England to one day wake up and hire a proper manager that won't waste this generational talent.

What is being in touch with the modern game mean? Rafa is as tactical as they come, his style may not be an all out counter pressing style, but footballing philosophies don’t all have to be about attack.
