  1. Quite a shitty position to be in from a football fan's point of view of NUFC -- there are those who can't support an NUFC with this potential owner, there are those who will continue to support and be aware of the cloud that will come with this owner, there are those who will allow themselves to be sportswashed, there are those who simply don't care, and there are those who would rather we stuck with Ashley. A sale of this club to this owner could potentially transform the club, city, and region with investment that will likely never happen in the next 25+ years. If this sale does not go through, potentially status quo or less spending. This sale could be a cataylst for job growth and wealth in the region, and if it does not go through, status quo. Some will be fine with the backlash that may come as a result of this (potential for NUFC, city, development, wealth and job creation) and some would rather not make that "deal" This is such a tough and incredibly difficult thing for any fan of this club and more-so for those who live in the city or region if it also has an impact on their daily way of life.
  2. I actually chuckled when I read that - somehow Mike Ashley was unable to escape being called out for being a shit owner by whoever helped her with the letter. Love to see it.
  3. They all look pretty awesome - the GK kit one is my favorite.
  4. The PL told both Buyer and Seller that it usually between 2-4 weeks to finish this process. Coronavirus, Project Restart, the complexity of the Buyer and the claims against the Buyer have clearly drawn this process out longer than originally estimated by the league. Feedback from Buyer to our journalists locally and nationally are that so far, no red flags. We've also heard that the test is a 2-way road so there is a constant dialogue. It seems like during the last 7 days or so, the PL probably told the Buyer that they should be concluding soon. The press reports on Monday regarding new piracy evidence "delaying" seem to be an exaggeration. The PL has not gone on record and is not responding to anybody but the parties involved in this transaction. All signs point that the league is covering itself from every angle by being as thorough as possible, and finally has a little bit of leverage with Saudi Arabia to work out some issues it's had in the past, probably inclusive of some remedies and potential future penalties.
  5. The best thing about Ginola skipping by Neville is that the camera does that zoom in and it doesn’t even look like Ginola is aware of Neville coming thru with what looks like a certain red card tackle and he just slips by him like it was nothing I second your post above, during this quarantine lockdown I’ve watched some Classic matches of ours and I’ve Forgotten how excellent Batty was.
  6. Let’s sign Henderson and banish him to the reserves. SMB.
  7. They've changed their tune now though, kind of. They said the guardian report has come out and they’re unsure of its impact of the timeline they reported earlier.
  8. if the PL is not making a comment to anybody in the press, then those who submitted this new evidence alerted the press directly or indirectly. The direct or indirect source of information to the press assumes this bombshell evidence will further delay another week. Just a ton more assumption, speculation, and guessing. Pure speculation. Hope we get taken over and whoever submitted such evidence has a favorite club we smash to fucking bits.
  9. It's probably not far from the truth. It's probably some last ditch "public move" by the opposition to this deal.
  10. Every single time isn't it. I can't think of any other club who this has happened too. It's been all over the media and the amount of other clubs fans talking about it as if it's already done. If this falls through then god how are we supposed to even feel anything the next time a circus like this starts up This is probably the first high profile club to have had a high profile takeover in this new modern world we live in - so that has surely played a part. It doesn't help that the Buyer has many enemies, it doesn't help that our club isn't an all loving globally loved club like Liverpool or Manchester United, it doensn't help that the current club owner refuses to say a word, and it surely doesn't help that England is currently in a lockdown and the PL have a restart they are trying to sort out.
  11. I guess I'm just trying to wrap my head around the BeoutQ argument when the network itself has been off air since August 2019. When this did hit an actual court, the case was thrown out.
  12. This is so bloody annoying. Played out fully in the press, much to the agony of the supporters of this club. Much to the enjoyment of anyone who doesn’t want it to happen.

    Euro 96

Espn 2 seemingly has this on. This soccer thing is catching on over here. Thank god the vcr is fixed.

    Transfer rumours

Out of all the random transfer links I really want us to sign Van De Beek

If we solved our issues in center midfield and fullbacks we’d have no issues with operating on 2 or 3 CBs. But we’ve had to rely mostly on a 5 man def because our fullbacks are generally weak in attack and our center midfielders have also been hit and miss. Always struggle to retain possession and use it wisely.

Schar was looking incredible at both ends of the pitch towards the end of last season. Just look at that Leicester away performance, he was aggressive in stepping up and really looking the part. Lejeune’s reading of the game coupled with his footballing ability was integral when he was fit. Rafa has spoken over and over how highly he rates Lejeune. The only issue is his injuries may have really taken out his durability. So a question mark really over if he is able to return to his best.
  17. Never knew SJH had a Plan for Training centre, academy and hotel. If you couple that with his stadium development plan and trying to join all the local sporting teams together in a way, some vision. Ultimately too many good ideas, what ifs, and falling short in our clubs past. Hopefully we will finally see some follow through and success on and off pitch. We deserve some fun and joy.
  18. I’m sure they’ve done some high level analysis on potential training ground sites as well as a scope of potential cost at a high level. Whether that means they have design and renderings done is another thing - maybe, but probably nothing they’d like to share on day 1. They’ll flush out the plan in short order and reveal when ready. They wouldn’t want a half baked plan, not this group. When it’s ready to be revealed I’m sure it will be some of the best in Europe.
  19. I'll never have any ill-will towards Shola - he's forever the apple eating mackem slayer. Our collective fans' obsession over having former legends have active roles within the club needs to be watered down IMO. Legends can and should be honored with ambassadorship etc, but it would be highly disrespectful to a world class manager if they had to deal with that disruption and noise.

I’ve never had a preference of system, just wanted to see winning football.

Might get lejeune back into the team too. Was a thing of beauty for a bit under Rafa having him and Schar pinging the ball about with Jamaal there to just do the simple stuff.
  22. To raise funds to buy Duncan Ferguson since our striking options except Shearer were very poor.
