If Villa play a higher line and allow ASM to get in behind they are toast. Even if he doesn't score, it'll create enough havoc for someone else to pitch 1 in. Wondering how we get on without Lascelles - he's just the strongest/quickest of the group. In an ideal world we'd see Schar-Fede-Lejeune

Can you see Levy suddenly opening the purse strings for Mourinho? He wouldn't do it for Pochettino and they reached the CL final last season. I have plenty of respect for Mourinho's achievements, but why would he be more successful at Spurs than he was at Man U where he had an open purse? If you gave Poch that type of freedom, who's to say he wouldn't have done better? You'd assume that whatever Mourinho demanded to take the job, is happening, and whatever middle ground was decided, happened. And a transfer kitty was probably discussed...he is too well represented to be taking something and being fed lies. He's too smart for that.

Not sure if in response to my post...but figured I'd add context to my original post. Old man was going to UK and telling his younger brothers (who lived near us, both idolized KK growing up) about Newcastle's team being managed by Keegan when we had family gatherings on weekends. And i just started playing the sport and had just watched World Cup 94 and become obsessed with the sport. He was saying Newcastle under Keegan had this Cole fella paired with Beardsley and they just finished 3rd in the league. Then the following season would keep talking about Blackburn, Shearer, Keegan and Newcastle. Keep rolling forward and I was the biggest Shearer fan and they used to air some matches on ESPN 2 and Setanta so got to see the PL for the first time at home or at our friend's bar on Saturday mornings via satellite. ESPN aired Euro 96, became a massive England supporter (my family still support England as their team), and then he eventually signed for NUFC...rest is history. The more I think about it - if it wasn't for my family's love of Keegan from their time living in England from 1970ish to 1979...I probably would never have become a Newcastle supporter. If he didn't convince my idol Alan Shearer to join, I probably would never have become a NUFC fan. Incredible stuff really. Keegan made an impact on my dad and his brothers and eventually all the way over in FL it played a major part on changing my life.

My dad used to have business in the UK between 94-97 as well as visited his family in Leicester. He told me about Keegan, and would describe at length how they used to play. He’d brought back VHS recordings of matches that were on sky and we’d get these things converted so I could watch at home. He’d bring me back a bag load of random Newcastle merch. I had a Shearer poster, NUFC hat. NUFC pencils. My friends had no clue what the fuck I was on about here in FL. I had the kits. I had paper clippings. This was really after KK left, but I was hooked. I was hooked on this dream that KK fed my Dad who didn’t even support us - he’s a Leicester guy. But he loved KK so anytime I talked of NUFC and still today - he’d say how much it was KKs club and he should still be running that place as the CEO etc. Small anecdote but as a kid, I can’t imagine how much NUFC stuff I’d have had if it wasn’t just 2-3 trips where my dad would bring over as much as he could fit in his luggage.

If there was any indication to the idiots who don’t think MA is a parasite, this whole project should convince them. Anyone with a brain should be able to deduce that this is the exact opposite of what every sport club is doing. City center location is rare; sells off land for flat development and doesn’t do anything with the land to increase value of the club. MA the scumbag.

Will be interesting. Still jealous that he’s going there and we’re still years later stagnated as ever with Bruce as our manager.
