I don't see him lasting until January. I think we'll be in a right mess and I think he'll resign and try to get the sympathy card
-
they will - the stuff is amazing
-
there is nothing adequate with our gym and our training facilities. for the amount of revenue this club generates and the amount these players are paid it's an absolute joke.
-
I am certain that if it was truly big news it would have come out by now.
-
gtfo just delete this thread, there is no way we win this match
-
Craig Hope absolutely went in on him after 1 match - and will likely do so all season if it continues.
-
no fan of this club would manage Sunderland.
-
Convinced the greatest master move of all time would be a new owner moving heaven and hell to get Rafa back here and announce new training ground and full investment to academy.
-
That last bit cut me up

Love Rafa. What a man. Aye, still think MA was drunk in that piece the other week. Didn’t he mention that he would upgrade the training ground in that too? Snake.
-
Was against Arsenal though - but in any case - i wonder if Longstaff's first competitive match in some time + the weather + somewhat bad day overall ?
-
he would have man! So true. Thought that too.
-
He has a known sports shop on every corner so idiots out there assume he’s a smart guy.
-
I mean he could have even went into a back 4 with Krafth and Dummett playing fullbacks, withdrew Shelvey for Krafth. Moved Manq to RM and Ritchie to LM And went 4-4-1-1. Then replace Manq for ASM and either play him behind Joelinton and have Almiron play the LM and shifted Ritchie.

When people claim he’s a good businessman, it just shows how little they know on the topic. They have no idea how his poor decisions at SD via his employment issues, his horrendous acquisitions and other strategic decisions over the past few years have mostly failed and degraded the share price of his company - coupled with the fact that his entire business model contradicts e-commerce

I’ve said it before but prior to Rafa I just didn’t understand the sit back and defend and accumulate points over the full season and it’s better to keep it sound and compact. I was naive in that regard. Watching football in the post Rafa Nufc eta this past weekend I just can’t believe so many of these managers have a job. So much to be said about what Rafa was so brilliant at. We draw or win yesterday if he was in charge IMO. We’d prob finish 8-10 with Rafa this season IMO as well. Back to ours - literally he could have brought on one of his central defenders like Fernandez or Clark and moved Schar into CM for Shelvey and kept the shape for most part. He wasn’t satisfied with 0-0 and completely screwed it up. Madness. But not shocking I guess given his track record.

Aye and this new player then help causes the goal conceded too. Sure it will do a wonder for his confidence.
-
Craig Hope might be going fully at Bruce this season he didn’t give him any leeway in Match 1
-
forcing Joelinton to be a true target man and not allow him to use his dynamic pace and strength will limit his influence on attack. One thing I notice about our strikers / attackers is they rarely hit the ball clean on shots. Always snatching at them - contrast to Tammy Abraham’s first major effort yesterday where he really took a second to get a proper hit on the ball. Joelinton did so well to fashion his own chance in the first half and you just knew he would rush that shot.

He showed his pass to the unmarked left wing back allowing for the marker to make a run on it. Willems did not help the situation not shortening the distance or reacting any quicker. It’s not a fine pass man. It’s never a fine pass showing that much of your intention of where it’s going and then hitting it short to allow for that. The entire back line conceded that goal but in no way should we have put ourselves into that situation; we had pushed the team up and we’re not under any pressure at that time until that mistake. Compounded by poor recovery marking by Lascelles and Schar.
-
Both to blame. Poor pass. Poor reaction. And then the captain left PEA alone. Schar didn’t get back fast enough either.

Our midfield is really easy to play through, Rondon and Perez winning the ball high up was absolutely key. I didn’t see the game today but we desperately need a manager who makes the team more than the sum of its parts, and that’s by getting them hyper-organised and hard to play against. Otherwise they’re in real danger. Thought the midfield did fine in the first half. Was impressed by Shelvey. Longstaff was sloppy in the pass at times. It all fell to pieces in the second half when Bruce gutted the system after Jonjo came off.
