Imo football needs more regulation and more oversight from the league offices like they do over here in the US. Yorkie[/member] you could look at it 2 ways. Your thoughts in your post are very accurate and def something I’ve wondered too. The other way would be he could sell us for 350m and have more liquid money in his bank account than he probably has currently as most of his wealth is tied up in SD stock and real estate. That’s why I’ve always been confused as to why he wouldn’t sell us at this stage earlier this summer with Rafa in the job and his valuation at its peak for the club. If the global economy stutters and we see global declines that many are predicting over the next few years the value of his football club and his SD will decline. Relegation impacts his value each time too. Every year he doesn’t invest into the club in facilities and players also feeds the decline in value.

Doubt he’ll ever make it as a PL player. No doubt he has talent and when he’s flying he is pretty damn good - his brother is just more intentional and direct with his decisions.

Share buybacks by the company when they have some cash on the balance sheet is normal for publicly traded companies esp at this share price considering how low it is

Yea sorry forgot Longstaff. Think our squad would be best deployed a bit like that. Almiron or Max can't be played in the midfield and both most likely will start. Or maybe Almiron on against tired legs or something.. In my head i think we'll eventually see him try Shelvey and Longstaff as CMs and have a front 3 now that ASM joined us. Hayden is the obvious better option over Shelvey IMO as he's better ball winner and has much better energy to get up and down the pitch. madras[/member] - agreed with your post above. I think he will have to try that out at some point. Having ASM and Almiron as wingers or wide forwards or even having 1 withdrawn as a #10 (Miggy ideally) would make a ton of sense and drop out Shelvey.

Would imagine he would be. His ability to set up those attacking formations and man management was quite incredible. He was absolutely an elite manager then and I’m sure he’d have incorporated and utilized the data, stats, and tactics that have been developed since his days. Same with Sir Bobby imo.
