favor to their old sporting director? Probably some kind of clause or something of the like. This deal happened far too smoothly.

Poor Liverpool who can't compete with the oil clubs, who have never had an issue with global marketing and success for ages.... Sign Wirtz, Frimpong, Kerkez and maybe Guehi in 1 window please kindly stop fucking complaining please.
-
Very weird seeing Wirtz sign in the liverpool kit when adidas is taking over in a few weeks.
-
I'd be pumped to see Guehi go to Liverpool tbh, do not want him here if it was up to me.
-
He is a super safe passer of the ball, but is more of a ball carrier in that position. Will take a ton of time adjusting to the PL by all accounts.

I think it's a DH gate special as all the adidas details are horrendously placed and sized.

Yep. Yet again, I am truly baffled by some of our fans and their inability to understand the build-up phase (it was practically a start-up) when Amanda came in literally every major decision they made paid off to what has happened on the pitch. Everyone who continues to jab at the PSR issue are ignoring that RB, PIF, a CFO and Eales were also all here and well aware of what was going on. Further, what has always been our strongest asset was tieing into the emotion of the fans and rowing in 1 direction and Amanda 100% got that and knew how important the happiness of the fans was to the overall plan. No Amanda, none of this. Languishing in some shit lower division with Baconator still managing the club.

Let’s crack on with the old format please. As much as it’s cool for football hipsters to sit on the internet and praise sporting directors, it always ends up being the job of the manager and the player themselves to actually get it right on the pitch and Eddie deserves 100% trust and respect for whatever profile he deems is worth spending the cash on.

If it’s that, I’m a fan.

I am only for adidas because the money they pay us and the bigger-time marketing we get but otherwise find their shit to be very bad.

A trainwreck of an appointment from day-1.
-
Ward would be a smashing appointment.

Madueke just played for Chelsea today in Atlanta….

He’s got 28 goal contributions in the league across 2 seasons with 19 of those being goals in the league - and is 23 years old and a full Brazilian international. He had 6 goals in the Europa league 2 seasons ago for Brighton. Now I am actually a little annoyed here. So he’s scored 25 goals and has 9 assists across 2 seasons in all comps. How is that not an excellent return for someone who was 22-23 years of age across both seasons?

If Yasir is flying over for matches, key meetings etc. then it absolutely is a major priority. Solis being Head of Direct European Investments and on our board is another key indicator that its a massive priority. They simply cannot throw money at the playing squad because of rules that came in post takeover that resulted in whatever original plan they underwrote having taken a massive hit. They could have changed their mind and cut us loose or pushed us down the pecking order but instead they've basically max'd out the playing squad investment as often as possible within the rules and are close to announcing a billion+ investment that the city of Newcastle likely never gets without them. I'm all for holding the owners to task but there is literally nothing else they can do.

Also Cunha was largely a squad player with not many highlights to talk about w/r/t his game all the way up until he came to Wolves. He has moved for decent fees as the talent was always there but he’s never broken through much until that last season at Atletico where his appearance #s = JPs last season. At the same age, João Pedro outperformed Cunha offensively—especially in goal-scoring frequency and chance creation. Cunha’s contributions at Atlético were solid but less prolific. Cunha is more of a finished article now because he’s older and was in a team specifically built to play with, thru and on him.
-
Cunha only became this version of himself in the last 2 seasons, with last one being his biggest jump. He is Wolves everything as of the last season+. It’s not like that at Brighton.
-
Mole is back! Did you literally not follow us since Eddie has been manager?
-
Aye Tonali was a damn good example on the previous page.

Normally agree with you @The College Dropout but I am actually happy he's continuing to get more development and see it as as really good for him to continue to show his talents. He has much to still work on the offensive side of his game, so would be nice to see him take more chances and get more confident in that against this type of opposition. He'll only be better for it long term.

Howe’s way has been pretty fun on the pitch though right?
