Yes! Sorry. With Sterling there, Jackson there, and Mudryk about to get banned. first off, fuck Fulham for falling apart at 1-0 late and Liverpool for that joke of a performance after they won the title.

I really don’t understand Chelsea’s squad one bit. Does JP play as their main CF? Or is that Delap? Palmer is infinitely their best 10 and they have Neto and Madueke on the wings. But maybe it isn’t?

Couple tweets and this place goes into a frenzy with a thread title change and a bunch of arguing. It’s Sunday, everyone.

Think he’s past the mental block after last season. Best fullback in the PL.
-
Are they signing Bulka too? He’s a great keeper tbh.

@Yorkie knows, I can whip up some class home kits

^ I do agree and have said this for ages that the biggest missing piece for is our 4th CM (who can play as an 8 or 6) isn’t an older head who offers the experience to slot in and play meaningful minutes. I do not think it needs to be some flashy 23 year old attacker; I think it needs to be a relatively unexciting name or a player who’s best days are past him but is a capable player when called upon. From an experience standpoint point - I believe in Dan Burn we have that at CB (who actually is a class CB and an incredible leader for us), and at least a few seasons ago, we had that in Callum Wilson (great leader, greater striker at that time). Trippier fails into this bucket.

I know. I’m more on about Parish holding out for whatever he did that is probably less than he’ll get this year. altho Europa league and a cup. :-/ sooooo

But there is no ceiling for a club like Newcastle!

yep bang on, feel often our own fans want to play a different style than what we have done and also want players they prefer that fit into how they see the team playing. Right or wrong, player has to fit into the manager’s style of play. Furthermore, the obsession over this low block thing is far more exaggerated in reality given how well we’ve played overall under Eddie’s entire tenure. The best sides impose their will consistently and supplement the team with quality players to execute the plan more efficiently and expertly. Again, as I said before I’d like to see us get an attacking technician but honestly prefer that more centrally to spread it across the attack.
-
Our Plan B is more of that back 3 or 5 anyway which helped us topple Arsenal two times in a cup, Chelsea at home, notably and secure a trophy and CL football.
-
We looked like a team gasping for a break from football with Isak, Wilson, Gordon, Murphy and Barnes all looking either tired or out of form. Yes! Bournemouth beat our press; Kluivert and Semenyo destroyed us. Fulham away was plain awful by our team in every area. Some of the other losses were more about how poorly we pressed, how we lacked any intensity and some of our key players not turning in a professional performance. I still would love for us to add some more technical flair but I'd rather see that in the central areas of the pitch where I think we've always lacked that attacking mid style player.
-
He had to leave to develop into the player he is for Forest. Be brilliant if he came home to us after he's done from Forest...on a free
-
if you continue to fine tune plan A, which makes up the overwhelming majority of our style of play and points haul over Eddie’s tenure, then the so called need to “break down the low block” is lessened versus the lesser teams. As I’ve stated many times before, we’re not often in that position and when we don’t pick up points across Eddie’s tenure it seems to be more about our lack of depth and quality to execute the main tactic and/or beaten at our own game.   does not mean we shouldn’t continue to add technical players and have varied skillsets. Think the key is signing an attacking mid or second striker like JP who can play behind Isak.

45-50m for Elanga is fine. I think Kudus is a 50-60m player. Bakayoko has so much to prove he's a 25-35m player. Adeymi is a 35-45m player to me.
-
They really did not want to lose Elanga.
-
Yeah, i know what you mean. I also don't believe we are stuck in a "how to breakdown a lowblock" mess too often in a season, and generally when we are stuck in that, it's becuase our main style of play hasn't been effective. If Elanga ends up being 15-29% better than Murphy over the course of a season then you'd assume we're being better at what we normally do best.
-
He's been in great form last two seasons in the main for Forest. A real handful in transition with a good # of goals and assists. At 23, probably levels to his execution and decision making to fine-tune under Eddie's tutelage. Positionally versatile, and if he can get to an even better level than last season, would be very well loved in a black and white shirt. These sums always seem like big #'s when you compare to other players and positions but I trust the club to get the transfers right, they seemingly have nailed nearly every single one.
-
@McCormick my Forest supporting mate is praying they don't sell Elanga. Absolutely loves him.
-
And everyone's favorite sporting director told Eddie and co he'd get the Guehi deal done and then pissed about with Parrish and failed.
-
Much prefer a derisory bid.
-
People should read up on Diomande, he’s very much an aerial threat who can dribble but very safe basic passer of the ball. Dont think he profiles with what we want to do long term in that position.

100%. Missing Luton town Away the season before last and Liverpool home this past one. I’m sure a few more too. His disallowed goals are filth. Utter disgusting filth. Man United away and Arsenal in the cup are absolutley disrespectful hacks at goal like. Bold statement but he’s my favorite player we’ve had since Shearer. And he’s quite close to passing him.
