We're terribly unbalanced right now but only a few players away from being very balanced. That's basically 2 strikers (1 capable of challenging for the starting position and 1 able to play both wide and central), 1 wide player who is capable of playing as a true wide midfielder or pushed further up, and 1 central defender. I'd add another GK (what happened to rumors of that Dutch lad?) to the mix and we'd be pretty well balanced. If we are able to gain momentum in the first 5-10 fixtures, keep (get) the squad fit, then we can really push ourselves up the table. The start of the season is very crucial for us for the team's psyche to get over last season and for AP's tactics (or lack there-of).

He's going to be MEGA f***ed off when they send a letter to the charity stating the interest on their 'donation'. the 6,000% interest on the donation. My goodness that would be a load of bad press only capable by someone like JFK and MA.

Wonder what it took to resolve it. Would be class if Wonga did something like donate to Cisse's charity - but then I wonder if he'd be pissed that they used their profits from the loans he wasn't a fan of to donate to his charity.... So nevermind.

I 100% agree with you here Dropout. Adding to that - I'd build the team to function around the likes of Hatem and Sylvain, 2 players who have it in them to CREATE goals, which is our biggest single problem. If you have the 2 of them on the pitch with minimal defensive duties, you free them up to express their game and dictate play. What that means for the rest of the team around them (in terms of who sets up where, etc) is up for everyone's discussion and debate.

Give me Inter's kit, changing the navy stripes for white. Jesus wept. That City away kit is perfect. Like 1 year of Nike kits for us, I'd own Home, Away and Third and I'd probably buy all of them each year. You're spot on, 100% on the Inter kit of this season - possibly the best "stripe" kit I've ever seen compounded with that grand-dad type collar.

I love nike's kits so much I'm starting to hate them now because we aren't with them. Can you imagine the stuff pumped out for Inter and Juve but for us. We'd all be in heaven.

They must have absolutely strict guidelines for their kit, don't mess about with their kits. I feel the same about Inter and Juve these days - they seem to be so simple, clean, and classy. Obviously someone within the marketing team or board takes pride in that fact. Such a shame we have that shitbird messing about with our shirt.

Perhaps a combination of body/person not built to have both that type of muscle and speed? And the manner in which these muscle gains are added to these players are not monitored correctly so that it doesn't harm the players pace/flexibility? You see athletes in NFL or NBA build muscle but also increase their dynamic flexibility, acceleration and/or straight line speed. Perhaps the sport of football, and more or less OUR staff have been poor at this? Just wondering out loud I guess.
