i don't disagree if Gayle is fit. Diame has looked much much better in the CM role recently than he has before - where honestly, we've looked over-run with him not being in much of a position to help out Shelvey defensively. Really do miss Hayden as we seem to hold ball much better. Ayoze HAS to be going into Huddersfield raring to perform again, hopefully the lift he needs.

We also need experience and a bit of intelligence in our away run against crucial opponents in this league if Gayle is out. Murphy's cameo was executed brilliantly and I'd think he'd do at minimum, similar over 90 versus Huddersfield too

He's never really a striker but often times his best performance have come from him leading the line or his sub cameos behind a big striker...In the other threads I've said I'd rather have Murphy lead on Saturday, but I'd not have an issue with Ayoze there with Diame behind him either if Gayle can't play.

Everything this season means a little more because this time we know Ashley better through everything he's put us through since coming back up, we have Rafa Benitez managing us and we're all very aware of the implications of not getting promoted and/or Ashley f***ing over Rafa. Everything in this is massively important. I'd also venture to say there's a decent group of us who were either in their early-to-mid 20's or even late teens then too, we're just grasping everything far better and able to fully comprehend the tall task at hand.
