Just imagine if I am Longstaff, whilst I am no longer the starting eleven, but my boyhood club is heading to glories and I could still play a part in the journey. I would probably take it, instead of starting the EPL journeyman life. What I want is probably just a good remuneration package since this is probably the last good contract I can get in my career. He isn't far from having playtime too. If Willocks gone then he is just 1-2 injuries away from starting. Selling for good money is beneficial to the club but probably not to the player.
