Mitrovic, although suffering from behavioral issue, still shows that he is one of the most talented upcoming striker in the industry. Considering the insane price for young strikers this summer (look at Martial, and even Spurs and Arsenal are unable to sign anyone) this deal is still a bargain. Thauvin was one of my favorite talent long before this transfer and I am extremely pleased to have snap up France's best attacking midfielder for that amount of money. He is the real deal, if function properly. The only reason why I don't give it a ten is because we failed to sign a midfielder who can replace Colback or Anita. That said, there aren't much players available in the market this summer, and Cabaye is too expensive considering his price. Some may say we need one more centre back and left back but I think Dummett deserves a run for a season. The defense line is "fine". Could be better, but I am very pleased already.

He is limited, but the ruler for judging him is obviously biased. By the same standard Tiote should be out of the team immediately. And those CM playing for us in the past like Jenas and Guthrie as well.

I think a dangerous act that may caused other secerely injured, whether intentional or not, deserves a red. On the other hand, is there any reason or benefit for risking a red to "control the ball" like that? None IMO.

I think Cabella has more than enough chance to prove his value, and I don't think he performed badly. However, it is clear that he isn't Ben arfa who can change the game on his own. He is not a miss or bust consider his price but what we need is a fucking bargain like Cabaye who cost pennies but perform like 20m superstars. I understand why some ppl feel disappointed and I do think Thauvin is a better fit for that game changing role, the one previously played by Ben Arfa.

To judge whether a midfielder protects the back four well is to notice how much space we give the opponents just outside the penalty box, and whether opponents can hold up the ball around there. When Colbacks on the pitch we rarely expose that part whilst Tiote is no where to be seen / Anita give zero pressure to the opponents. This won't show in highlights and one would not notice this if he just focus on the ball rather than the whole set up. There is a reason why Colback is highly rated among the industry despite limited physically and, arguably, technically. He won't offer you spectacular stuff but he is doing the fundamental work well.

Colback protects the back four a lot better than anita. Bad positioning my arse.

He should sit out a few matches as a penalty for such behaviour which lets the whole club (teammates, manager, and fans) down

The fact that Ayew easily out jumped Colo means we will lose ALL headers inside our box this season. I am serious, I'd rather play Willo with Chancel. Colo is completely finished as a player.

I think Tiote is more limited as a player.

Enrique is an immense one on one defending full back. His only weakness, during his prime, is his positioning during offside trap. Other than that he is one of the best left back in the world. Sadly his physique has gone and now, honestly, he's just shit. Shitter than Haidara probably.

I'd agree if that's not Aarons. Aarons seems very injury prone and I am all for keeping him on the bench till he's fully ready. He has had two major injuries last season and any more may severely damage his career.

You are practically asking Winegum to sit deeper and give more contribution, linking from the back and roam forward and get into scoring position like what he did last match. The problem is he doesn't have the stamina to do that much. Yesterday he was knackered after 70 mins. You sure he can do that much? In Netherlands may be, but in EPL, under such pace, I really doubt that. And in addition, I feel extremely insecure to have Anita the only one protecting our back four. You forgot that stupid penalty Anita gave out last season? I think Winegum should stick to where he played last match. If you want a more attacking set up, it should be Sissoko to play in centre as a box to box, not Winegum. Save his energy for scoring goals.

It is fine to say we need an upgrade for that position in order to improve the team but I don't think you need to intentionally downplay his performance yesterday. Seriously I am glad to have Colback here after watching Tiote for the final 30mins. Tiote is fucking garbage nowadays. Anita and Colback over him any seconds.

Obertan actually links up well with Haidara and the left and created some plays In contrast, Janmaat and Sissoko did absolutely fuck all on the right and failed some simple link ups Comments here are fucking harsh / biased.
