Aren't here lots of people saying we are too negative to play 4-5-1? And yea if we play 4-4-2 and lost we are overly aggressive, we play 4-5-1 and get a draw and that's too negative and dull? In the end result is everything, and in this sense why can't you guys just give the manager a little respect and faith? The manager who lift us to the 6th spot while having the least resource among the top teams in EPL? The bias towards Pardew is f***ing ridiculous here.

You wouldnt find players like Simpson n Willi to be starting 11 for other top teams. And if we have a midfield consist of silva n modric, no one in the world would play a direct style. We gotta be realistic.
-
So its only one player he didnt trust and already constitute as a manager who dont know using good players?

My mood has fully recovered after the loss yesterday. Thanks Liverpool.

He is even worse than Barton. Congrats Luis, that's a great achievement.

Perch should be at the front post, Guthrie should be around the penalty spot, Simpson should be at the back post, or at least the space between Guthrie and Krul.
-
When dealing with cross, positioning is much more important then marking. Marking opponent's left back "could be" Obertan's job, but before that Simpson should stay in the CORRECT position instead of marking anyone, or staying at the front post. He got it very, very wrong. It's front post, man. It's the opposite side!
-
No, not the 2nd goal, I mean the 1st. Simpson is at the front post. 2nd goal they have to share the blame. Willi should block the cross, Simpson shouldn't try an offside trap.

Simpson is at the front post. Watch the reply again. I wouldn't be that mad if he is at the middle.

A very good lesson for Pardew. We are not at that level and having a go at those Big7 teams, especially away from home, is purely suicidal. Sad that Cabaye and Tiote are unavailable and even we tried to play very defensive it would be useless. 4-5-1 system with Gosling, Perch and Guthrie at the centre wouldn't change the result. We don't have another choice for right back as well, who cost us 2 early goals. If I was Pardew I would try Gosling and Perch at the centre and just let HBA and Ba to make some miracle. That's also very negative to be honest. We simply could not cope with them. And I wonder why no one can understand Pardew's comment of fearing Spurs aerial ability. Certainly they are better on the ground, but what's worse is that we lose all the headers --- particularly Ba and Williamson. Williamson and Colo didn't win ANY header from Adebayor throughout the match. Everytime when Adebayor get the ball, air or ground, we are in chaos. Both Colo and Willi are "outclassed". A heavy loss, mainly due to the difference in quality. Both teams have several key members out due to injury and international duty but squad depth proves to be the key difference.

When Marveaux was playing with Jonas, he has to play on the right to accommodate Jonas. This shows how bad Jonas is on the right, and probably Jonas personally preferred on the left as well. It sounds weird when both Marveaux and HBa has to play on the right when Jonas "should" play on the right. The only logical answer is Jonas is fucking bad there, which is proven on the pitch.
-
He definitely deserves a chance after all these things. The problem, which I think some of you should agree, is that he probably won't perform well and get dropped again. HBA is too inconsistent. When he plays bad, it's so bad that the whole team could stop functioning. This is the exact opposite of Obertan, who did create spaces and let other parts of the team keep on functioning. I sincerely hope the lad do well, I hope he can be our definite starter from now on, but I can't deny Pardew has a valid point to drop him.
-
I can't agree with that. NEVER. How in the earth could a right back position himself at the FRONT post at that moment? Jesus fucking christ. I don't care how much of you wanna make Obertan as a scapegoat but FFS how can Simpson not in the centre, nevermind the BACK post, when Adebayor was heavily marked and just manage to put in a weak ground cross? That was a disastrous error by Simpson, he should have easily clear the ball if he was in the right position, yet you are blaming Obertan instead of Simpson? He was at fault for their 2nd goal as well. I would have Raylor over Simpson at any day. At least Raylor would chase back and make a sliding block instead of standing still and attempt to try an offside trap at that moment. Horrible judgement.
-
Nah, he looks uncomfort on the right every time. I have never seen him having a good game on the right.
-
The best definition of scapegoat.
-
Their 2nd goal was from a cross that a centre back should clear. Willo was too rusty to block it.
-
I think that's where Saylor better than Williamson, when Colo is dragged out, Saylor can defend on his own, but Willi can't
-
Guthrie's poor defensive positioning has been heavily exploited, especially when Perch is pressing upfront You could say pardew got it wrong, but to me Guthrie and Simpson are the worst players for us Perch and Obertan are relatively innocent, but of coz they should be responsible for tht as well. everyone has to.
-
Guthrie n Perch much worse man
-
May be i am wrong but could that relates to his attitude at training rather than at match?

if ben arfa lose any ball, it would be Bale' s show time. If it is an open game, we die hard. We must fought like away vs man city.
