Fulham was a tough game as expected as they are in form. The team was playing as a well functioning unit just like us. I don’t think this window and the last one is comparable. Last winter basically all reinforcements are too good to turn down, and Howe hasn’t worked out how the team as a whole should play in order to bring the best results. Last summer Howe got what he wants and has a complete pre season to drill the players. We are playing a complete team game.

That’s exactly the point I want to make. Longstaff is a very easy target that looks easily replaceable - but in fact he has the most distance covered per match. He covered a lot for Bruno and Trippier. If the one we bring in to replace him now - without a proper pre season training to fit in - could not cover as much as Longstaff, then our result probably would not get better, or become even worse than now. It’s a big gamble to bring in someone like Maddison or Tielemans now, and the question is, is it necessary to do it “now” or we could wait till “summer” in order to keep our form?

As long as they could support our current starting eleven without disrupting the chemistry, and give us back a top 4 finish, then it’s not wasting money. Just like why we paid 25m for Wood last winter. In other words, unless it’s really too good to turn down, I don’t want another Asprilla at this moment. Summer? Definitely

Unless there is a very lucrative deal on the table, I prefer not buying any players that would replace our starting eleven. We should instead get more covers, more young prospects that can step up when needed

Botman over Woodgate any day for me, simply because one is always available and one is always unavailable.

I don’t see we will have any outgoings unless we made a few signings. We are in a push of top four finish and I don’t think it is a wise move to weaken our squad depth at this moment

Genuinely speaking, we probably don’t need him that much at this moment when Wilson is fit. We need Isak badly when Wilson is injured, which we all know it’s just a matter of time

No manager is perfect. Southgate has his flaws but he has done a great job in building a nation team that bonds like a club team. He almost knocked out the best team in WC and he deserves credit for this. It’s a relatively young team anyway. England still have a good shot in 2026.

SBR wanted the best for the club but then as a national captain and hero i really have huge respect for Nobby. and to be honest even a tired Nobby was much better than anyone else. He was that fucking good at that time, the second best right midfield behind Backham in EPL.

We simply shouldn’t sign Bowyer. He was just brought in because Fucking Freddie refused to give SBR money to spend and say this was your only reinforcements. He was not wanted by SBR.
