I think the Debuchy deal could still come off and if the terms suit Fat Mike and Dekka on AC9 I can see that happening. I think if Debuchy is out of the question then we'll make an attempt at another fullback. Having Vurn will leave us in a position where we are not panicking. To be fair the little knob head makes some fair points. Can't agree with the role model thing though. I know the players and other sportsmen are normal people with extraordinary jobs, but they are at the pinnacle of the game, looked up to by a lot of people, their standing in their game/sport makes them role models in my opinion. I honestly see them struggling a bit. I cannot see where the goals will come from. Bendtner actually looked useful towards the end and they lost him. I'm not convinced by Campbell either. They have a decent midfield that can hold their own and Sess is a good player. Their defense is poor and could be even worse if Brown and O'Shea struggle with injuries.

I suppose Mike probably doesn't want to look like he's been dictated too. Maybe in his mind he is thinking if he folds on this deal, that future negotiations may go this way. I agree with the principle of this but given that this guy will improve our team significantly I want us to fold if it is true that the want an extra £1million.

Collymore can be a real cock at times, other times he speaks a lot of sense. Whether a lot of it is to do with Talksport I don't know. But he tends to bat extreme ends of arguments, and tends to provoke a lot of traffic to him on Twitter where he plugs Talksport a lot. How anyone can compare the two squads at the moment and say Sunderland will finish higher I do not know. Its not as if its looked like we are even close to losing any players either. The most worried I've been is over Ba and even that has passed.

If that is referring to my post I am not his biggest critic but its clear he has some very big flaws to his game. He has done a solid job for us but if we want to improve on last season a better right back is very important to that.

I would disagree and pick Dzenko every time at the same price. He started last season very well, only when Aguero was up to speed and Mancini started rotating Dzenko more did his form dip. As I said I don't think Fletcher is that bad but in no way worth more than £7million and that is based on a British Striker premium.

Fletcher is not a bad striker but what has he done to suggest he is a £10million plus player. To think we've purchased Cisse and Ben Arfa for less.

What the hell is their hang up on Santon, he didn't exactly set things alight (like the Mackems did last transfer window) but he didn't look like a donkey. Most people I've spoken with have said he looks a good player and is a very decent prospect. Surely any other team would pick Santon at LB over Richardson?
