  1. I think Kalou is a decent back up player for most clubs. If he were on decent wages I'd tale him her. Not sure how old he is, seems like he has been around for ages but I think he signed for Chelsea fairly young.

    Alan Pardew

I can imagine many fans demanding a Champions League place challenge next season so I can understand Pardew playing things down, right up to the end this season the whole squad played things down as well. This season I personally would have been happy with top 8 finish and then for the upcoming season a push for top 6, we are maybe a year ahead of schedule, but still I'll be over the moon if we finish 6th next season. Especially if we add some decent cup runs with it. I would think Pardew is trying to manage fans expectations in public whilst telling the players come on lets push on and aim as high as possible, at least that's what I hope he's doing.
  3. Can't wait until Barnetta, Emerton and Kuyt sign I would imagine Barnetta wouldn't be on crazy wages and we don't mind taking risks on crocks so this could be a goer, would cover a few positions too.

Jeez the thought of Karl Henry and Lee Cattermole in the same midfield. There will be an increase in injuries for teams playing against Sunderland next season. But yeah, he's a MON type signing.

The funny thing is that even with those unrealistic additions that squad would certainly still struggle to break Europe (which he suggests) Further on they mention Bertrand as a realistic signing, the guy turned down a chance last season to leave Chelsea to give it one last go, has played a few times this season and was a starter and played well in one of the biggest games in their history. Yeah he's really going to turn around this season and say "BlackCatts for me like"
  6. As much as it would have hurt had we finished it in 4th, that rule was in place at the start of the season. Had Spurs been downgraded as an afterthought then there would be an injustice to it all. Harsh on Spurs but action to this scenario has now been in place for a number of seasons.
  7. I'm not defending Terry on what he has apparently said. Of course using racist language is illegal and should be stamped out. Mrs Tisd hates it when she hear's the "banter" at the football club and blames me to some extent for not speaking out. As I said I see it as banter, but my 'acceptance' of it may lead to these guys saying it in a different situation which could get them in to a lot of trouble.
  8. Given my background (part Asian) I've encountered a lot of negative comments over the years, even one who was a friend of mine (he would call himself a racist) but his words were I like you mate even though you are part "paki" I didn't know what to say, but I would take a guess that I am the only mixed race person he knows At the football club I play for I'm often called "shoebomber" "terrorist" etc, I am quite aware that these boys are not racist they just think they are being funny. The ginger player at the club is ginger and he gets mocked for it, so I class it along with that type of banter. What Terry is alleged to have said seems like its gone beyond a bit of banter but I do think its a bit far to declare him a racist like many have.
  9. I'd take a guess and say that Terry isn't a racist who would attend BNP rallies or vote for them, and if he wasn't a footballer go looking for other races to beat them up etc, but this been said it does not excuse his 'alleged' behaviour. At times he comes across as a right knob, you would think the CPS have enough evidence to go to trial but the same could be said for the Harry Redknapp trial and that turned out a farce.
  10. what a melodramatic place RAWK is. Someone says in his post "I know nobody has died!" fuck if I didn't already know Kenny was sack I would think some fucker had died.
  11. He's picked Milner. There are a few similar contradictions within the selection. True enough but maybe Milner is seen as a more steady, consistent player? To be honest I'd have Milner in that squad in front of Johnson, Lennon and Downing.
  12. Why do you hope you are wrong, most of your blog and OP is ripping him to shreds, surely your stance is that he needs to go?
  13. I'm glad the crazy bastard wasn't crazy enough to deny kneeing Aguero. Still can't believe he's denying the Kompany incident either regardless of whether he made contact its clear he tried nutting him, as long as the FA don't think that no contact means no violence then he should be punished for that as well. Tevez is no angel in all of this but given the fallout afterwards its no surprise that was missed. Its a pity there is no team citing option really like in rugby, its clear that Tevez provoked I think QPR have the right to complain about this, as we had the right to complain for the Rooney on Colo argument.

What? He doesn't want to keep Sess and Catts is not for him like???
  15. I'm not sure if I can disagree too much with what is available to pick. Richards is a strange one. And I think Carrick has been canny the tail end of the season. Downing is the biggest shocker to me, I think Adam Johnson and Lennon would have been better options that him, maybe Hodgson is concerned by the lack of games from Johnson and Lennon? I think he may have dropped a bollock with Carrick. A midfield 3 of Parker, Carrick and Gerrard looks ok, lacks pace, but there are no pacey options these days. I suppose when we've played a midfield 3 this season (Newcastle that is) we've lacked a bit of pace but the movement and technical ability of the players has seen us through. I assume Barry will join Parker and Gerrard in CM, on their day they are good players, just wonder if Gerrard can get anywhere near his top level, that's the only hope England have until Rooney is available again. A lot of reliance will be on Young and Walcott on the wings neither have done it on a International stage as of yet??

Let the meltdown begin, hope to fuck someone from RAWK posts on RTG because of this, the clash of tits, it would be epic
  17. People on twitter spouting about his past record, that's exactly it, he did well for Liverpool in the past, the game has moved on a lot since then as Keegan found out and he wasn't even out of the game that long. Disclaimer - In no way am I defending Ashley over the Keegan episode but the way boardrooms are run changed a lot by the time Keegan took us over again.

Just read on Twitter from one of the journos of the big papers that O'Neill is the 'British' based favourite, haven't checked if this is true or not. Surely would send RTG into meltdown Barton stylee. The possibility of Pardew is getting my knickers in a twist if I'm honest and I am a sensible personal, fuck knows how those morons would handle that kind of speculation???
  19. I'm up for this shit, work prevents me from accessing Sky Bet, lucky I have a phone thats capable of it. I'll be joining soon.
  20. He's the manager, if he explained every decision he wouldn't have time to manage. A lot of us were baffled at the time with him sticking by Obertan but I'm pretty sure most weren't demanding a explanation from Pardew.
  21. RAWK is a crazy place like. That moneyball thread FFS!!! They are not even allowed to say that they want Kenny out. Could you imagine we took that stance under Souness, Allardyce or Kinnear
  22. The sadist in me would actually enjoy seeing Barton at Sunderland. A match made in hell.
