I don't mind Iraola, how long will it take before I hate him! I think he is a good manager of course, not convinced he will make the transition to such a big club like Liverpool. Big rebuild he has there at least he has loads of cash for it though.

I read that post earlier this morning and that was the only thing I clicked on, now it has come up in the suggested accounts to follow on X. It must be a sign. Never heard of them, as long as it brings in the cash! I assume no APT bollocks to worry about either?

I think years ago FA Cup before Europa League but given the prize for the Europa League these days I do think it trumps the FA Cup.

Imagine the mental gymnastics if they win the ECL when they have trashed our League Cup win If we did somehow make the Conference League next season I would want us to win it and I would be over the moon if we did.

His form has taken me by surprise, fair play, I honestly thought he was a waste of space. He is very erratic of course and doubt he will go on to be considered with the best but think he will be a more than useful squad member.

Seems the best place to post this. Haven't long came back in from coaching my local pub team. Meaningless end of season game but the referee performance was a shocker. He's a young lad. Maybe 20 and it's not the first time he's covered our team, he told me a few months ago he was taking U12's games. Well for the third time he has been well out of his depth both teams had some terrible decisions against them. It was hard to keep cool but had to remember his age and after all this is just pub football. It seems almost impossible to give any kind of feedback about his performance and I don't want to be that kind of person just negatively slagging off I want to offer my observations on the game to support the young lad. He takes us again on Saturday, last game of the season its a pretty meaningless game but the team we are playing are notorious in our area and I generally worry about the potential abuse he will receive from the opposition with a similar performance. According to our app he's had an assessors to monitor him at each of the games he has taken with us but I've not seen one at the park, if he was there I would love to see what kind of notes were being made. Thankfully we won last kick of the game regardless so no real sour grapes from me 👀⚽

I was excited to some extent with Woltemade even though I knew very little of him, I just though an exciting young German talent could work out well and in isolation it isn't the the worst season for a player finding his feet in a new country and different set up. I still have hope. I was excited by Elanga at the time as I thought he would be a massive upgrade on Murphy and there is no real way to dress his signing up, it has been a disaster. He doesn't have the excuse of a new league either. I have no confidence he can come good. Then again I would have said the same over Murphy and Joelinton in the past.

I am torn on AG, I feel he may have had his time for us but he hasn't been as bad as some have made out this season. If we can get a proper centre forward firing and return AG to LW as a permanent fixture then we may see him return to his best. I just believe we have bigger issues in the squad. That being said I would not be broken hearted to see him sold for significant funds!

Some of the responses to the TNT post about us being able to qualify for CL and get relegated are funny. Loads of "you got no chance" they must have missed the bit where most of us probably more worried about relegation than being excited about any European competition. We have a favourable fixture list left it isn't out of the question but you feel we need to win all three to stand any chance of even conference league? I wouldn't be against Conference League either. Chance to give some of the young players a run out and if we are going to sign these wonderkids we keep hearing about these games would be the perfect time to give them a chance. EL would be tougher on us as we are likely to need to put out stronger squads.

Nothing but respect for Trippier to be fair. I am sure he loads of choices but came to us in a dire position (I am sure the salary was good). Being a good captain and leader. If the Juve thing is true it probably extends his career at the top for another season the slower pace will suit him.

Williams at the right price to add depth wouldn't be that bad would he? I quite like him (bias as I'm Welsh). However, I would expect Forest to want a big wedge for him and in that case would probably be too expensive for someone who would not be a guaranteed starter!

2nd half was embarrassing and I just wanted it to end, if felt like when you are getting smashed at local football and you're asking the ref to blow up early. However, I am proud to get where we are, a lot of what if's surrounding this tie, what if we went into this game 1 up, what if Fermin and Yamal were suspended etc!! I know any team can say that but I am holding on to it. Hope we can finish the season strongly now and nick into the Europa league spots. I feel know is a perfect time for a lot of changes to the playing staff, really hope we can keep hold of Bruno!

How Barca haven't picked up a few yellows I don't know. Cancelo, Garcia, Fermin and Araujo all should be on one. Quite how Fermin got away with the rugby tackle given the position on the pitch I don't know. No arguements with the pen, clear foul. Another Leeds???? Go behind 3 times and late winner. I can see us going with three centre halves for this. Last thing we want to do is be too passive, I don't think this should start out as one of our uber defensive set ups, I am think Arsenal second leg semi would be ideal. Agree with this. Also I seen someone mention on here it could help our mindset out at the Nou Camp, if we took a 1-0 lead over there I am sure we would have seen an ultra defensive set up which may have played into Barca's hand. I still think we will be more on the back foot than we were today but will look to counter them a bit more than we would have had the game finished 1-0. It is a massive task to go over there and get something but I don't think it is totally out of the question. Maybe I am clutching at straws?

Waking up in frustration thinking of last night. Would have been massive going to the Nou Camp with a lead. I know they'll be a different animal in Spain but nothing we seen last night should make us go there in fear. How Fermin and Yamal escaped bookings I don't know. Tonalis booking you expect them given there for both the others should have received the card. The key will be keeping Yamal quiet so hopefully Hall is at the top of his game again. A fully fit Gordon makes a difference last night to.

Genuinely not sure who I would want at this stage. I think on our day at our best we could better both of them over two legs but I'm not sure of the "aura" of Barcelona would get the better of us.

Once I seen the handball I was pretty sure it would be given especially when you take Miley's into account against PSG. There is no much the lad can do but it is well away from his body. Potentially could see that given in the PL although it may well come down to what the ref went with onfield?

Hope this is his revival. On the top of his game there are not many better midfielders in the PL. Now more than ever need him to step up give Bruno's injury.
