  1. By the way didn't he make a remark about the FA's treatment of Rio Ferdinand lately. Even SAF was less than impressed with the tweeting, what ever the motivation behind Rio's remarks given how sensitive the issue right now he was pretty dumb. I hope the FA will take Joey to task on the matter. He seems to think that Twitter makes him un touchable. I noticed he criticised QPR's performance today, picking out individuals too, that is completely out of order. So so glad he isn't our problem any more.
  2. He shouldn't have taken to twitter to air his dispute with the club then. He is a complete tool. Did you see his little remark on Shearer and Lineker because you could see their watches on MOTD. Now until that tweet I never really noticed the watches before. He is a self important mong, will be so funny to see him rot this season. It is obvious Hughes doesn't want him, its unlikely anyone in England will sign him due to his ban and the potential issues. If this guy just got on with football he'd be ok. Talented player, just a complete tool.
  3. Cult hero seems a bit harsh for someone of his quality. Okay if he was better with his end product he would have been top class but then we probably wouldn't have got him. Cult hero status for me is those who are deemed as s**** but perform well above that level despite still only being average (Sibierski is the perfect example). Jonas with end product would have been one of our best wingers ever, without it he is a very good, hardworking player who should be looked back on as an important player during that era. I don't mean it in the sense hes a weak player but played an important part, I see someone as a cult hero as someone who's a bit eccentric a bit out there so to speak but you look back and love them. He will certainly looked back as some kind of hero for us, so a cult hero was the only thing I could really think to call him.

    James Perch

Maybe Obertan can overcome his ridicule and become an important back up option like Perch Fair play it could have been easy to Perch to look for football elsewhere but he had knuckled down and become an important squad member. Due to his versatility I would imagine as long as he is fit he'll be on the bench.

    Alan Pardew

It looks out to me but I could say 100%. They didn't seem to have a camera shot that would confirm. I think 9/10 lineos give a throw in the same situation regardless of whether it was technically in or out. Anyway regardless of that Pardew should keep his hands to himself. You can see it was heat of the moment but still he was and idiot to do it. At least he's come out and said so rather than make some smart ass remark and deny it. I've seen some make a remark on he was laughing but I think that was embarrassment more than anything, he knows he fucked up.
  6. What a mess of a bloke. Getting a fucking haircut. Maybe the Samson fable will work in reverse. Get haircut = able to kick ball again?

If they could get a motivated Berb it would be a good signing, but if he's not interested at Man Utd, would the hell would he be like after a few weeks at Sunderland. I can't see Berb wanting to move there, I would imagine even though his stock has fallen he would still have a few interesting offers. I am sure some Russian club wouldn't mind throwing a bit of cash at him.
  8. We would not have won today without Jonas. I don't know why I am still amazed at his work rate, he'd done that ever since hes joined us. He'll go down as a bit of a cult hero when he leaves/retires from Newcastle. He's probably one of those that we may appreciate more when he has gone.

    Alan Pardew

I think if it were Redknapp/MONg/Hughes or many other managers we don't like we'd be calling it a disgrace. For me disgrace is too far, it was very silly, I don't think we can moan at a touchline ban. We'll get a few journos now who'll be holier than thou on the situation no doubt. Surprised MOTD brushed over it fairly lightly. To be fair Pardew seems to be liked by the media, so that could have helped in this situation.

I wonder if they can use "they haven't played anyone yet" card. I suppose they can Arsenal finished above Spurs last season.
  11. I agree. Defensively Santon looked just as dodgy. He's just not a player that will help us progress.
  12. I still can't believe bookies see Liverpool in front of Spurs in the odds for the title. I can understand why the bookies would over look us but Liverpool as 5th best bet for the title no way man. Arguably their most effective play for most of last season was given away to Cardiff.
  13. Looked like he wasn't too shy of moving forward either. Could be a good option with his pace and a late run from deep. Looks like he takes everything in his stride so that early miss-touch probably didn't bother him.
  14. Feared the worse after the early tackle but looked good even though a little sluggish at times. Hopefully he'll get rid of these niggles. Once he's fully fit he will be immense again. Impressive. Uses the ball so well at times.
  15. Other than Santon getting forward better than Simmo, defensively they were on par today. I'm not Simmo's biggest fan (he is) but I think he gets too harshly treated at times. Weakest position in our strongest team IMO.
  16. I was thinking he's going to do something stupid like kick Krul's head off or something, my heart sunk for a split second. Then I thought - LEGEND!
  17. RAWK should be a fun old shindig at the moment. You think they'll ban any negative talk already?
  18. I thought Santon struggled at times but Lennon looked sharp at times too. A 6 for me, looked comfortable going forward though.

Nah! That would have been for Barton.

    James Perch

The fear with him on the ball has almost gone. I am definitely more comfortable with him on the ball than Willo. Was surprised to see him get the nod but glad he did, it was justified. To think we would have given him away at the start of last season. Becoming an important squad member. With the EL factored in he will be invaluable this season.

    Alan Pardew

It was silly of him, clearly heat of the moment, I assume a big fine, I don't think he'd be banned from the touchline unless the FA make an example of him to prevent this kind of thing happening. I don't understand it, he should know better.
  22. If true about Chelsea - Roman is waving his Russian cock in front for Financial Fair Play.
  23. Just watched that again on a popular site, amazing. How brilliant did we player. I loved Rob Lee such a top player for us and cheap to have his name on the back of my shirt. WTF is Albert doing on the edge of their 18yard box, it wasn't as if it was a counter attack. It could be the same today. Cisse, Ba, Cabaye and Colo taking the place of the above I can only dream

Jesus wept Oh FFS. I know they won't be the only set of fans over valuing their players, but what a joke. Sess at £15million is possibly the closest. I wouldnt be shocked at a £15m fee but could see them getting £12m?? As for McClean £10m would be crazy money for him. Seb is possibly correct anything from 5-8m. Catts would be a weird one. Given he's a captain and still fairly young and English he'd probably fetch more than he is worth?
