  1. Sammy Ameobi. There is no way to spin the signing of Macheda to anything positive. No matter how much he smiles I just can't see Pardew picking Sammy over Loven, there was an option to play Haris or Sammy on Sunday but he went with Loven, I got a feeling if he brought Macheda in he was jump above Loven in the queue? I agree I would much see Sammy or Haris given a chance before Macheda, and would have both in the team ahead of Loven.
  2. Not seen that much of him but weren't people saying that Welbeck was dogshite when he signed on loan for the Mackems last season? Surely he'd be better than nothing and may keep Loven away from the starting line up - must be seen as a positive?
  3. It is probably just a back up in case the Maiga deal falls through. Macheda is probably waiting until the door closes before switching to QPR. FAIL!! The correct term will be "slams shut"
  4. Could you imagine how much better our squad would look like with Santon, Pieters and say Sturridge on loan added to it. Those three are all attainable, I am assuming Sturridge is given the players that Chelsea have signed. If Ashley just went that little step beyond we would have a decent squad who at its best could possible threaten the top 8, as it stands we seem very fragile. We have won games without playing well, but saying that the quality of opposition haven't been great, even Arsenal, who are obviously better than us but have been comfortably outplayed by Liverpool and Man Utd. Confidence in the camp seems high at the moment, I worryu when our backs are against the wall.
  5. I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Wenger, I think he maybe pushed over the edge with this one.
  6. I like Cabaye so far, he hasn't set the world alight but has been more than steady. He can clearly use the ball very well, whether its passing, shooting or crossing, not shy of a tackle and his work rate is good. Think he needs a goal to really kick start his Toon career. Hopefully Tiote can find his form sooner rather than later which will really help Cabaye as well.

    Alan Pardew

He loves a good old smile doesn't he.
  8. The type of game we would have lost last season. Good start to the season, not playing that well, but still picking up good points, all this with one of the worse strike forces in the league. Credit where credits due, pity about their goal another clean sheet would have been great.
  9. I think if that happened Mike and Derek would be come my hero's above Sammy for at least 10 minutes then I would punch myself in the face and remember that mostly that they are cunts.
  10. Aren't we part of that G-14 group or something who are always charged with wanting eventually to create a European Super League.
  11. I think he represents S Taylor. Paul Stretford (same agent as Rooney's) represent's Taylor. He's a c*** too. Surely all asians are. Or am I being racist You can't do that to me man. I actually checked back my original post to see if I miss typed or something. Paranoid or what. Can't believe billytray interfered with me. I feel dirty

    Ryan Taylor

I suppose it will depend on Simpson's form really? He's been very so/so this season, its early I know, I don't think we would lose that much if Pieters came in at left back on Sunday and Taylor came in at RB.
  13. Cabaye has been so/so in the first few games, it will take time for him to settle. He has show glimpses of talent, his passing range seems excellent and does seem to have a bit of steele about him to. I hope to see improvements from him, I think that will come, especially when the man beast Tiote gets back his mojo, he's been average and looked a little of the pace this season to, but its just a matter of time until Tiote comes back being the player we all know and lust over.
  14. I think he represents S Taylor. Paul Stretford (same agent as Rooney's) represent's Taylor. He's a c*** too. Surely all agents are. Or am I being racist

    Erik Pieters

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think Simpson is that much better than Taylor and Taylor offers free kicks. agreed - taylor and simmo fighting for rightback is fair. and actually i wouldn't mind taylor on the right side of midfield against strong teams. that would allow extra cover as well as the free kicks Its still at the back of my mind - would I actually be saying this if he didn't score two goals? To be fair his free kicks are such a weapon, I really hope he can get some form behind him. He's been pretty much bit part since he's signed and there's hardly been a murmur for him. Really looked gutted on his come back v Bolton last season when he was sent off. Plus he smiled last night. Pardew does bring the best out of our players.

What if he comes by boat Then he'd probably die. He might come on a ship though I don't know why but this just drew a girly giggle from me

    Dan Gosling

Don't think anyone is writing him off tbh. It's very clear he needs to get some competitive matches under his belt. Wouldn't want to see him starting unless he has to though... But your comment seems to be writing him off?? On last nights performance he couldn't lace Barton's boots, but Barton has had a few stinkers for us during his time here. I know very little of the lad but none of us know enough yet to know whether he'll be more useful in the team than Barton. Regardless of that as long as he's keeping Smith away from the starting line up he must be seen as a positive.

    Dan Gosling

Are we writing him off on his first start for the club?

    Erik Pieters

What if he comes by boat Then he wont play on Sunday At least it will probably be cheaper for Mike, plus he won't have to pay Pieters and appearance fee for Sunday.
  20. Do Arsenal think we are still in the year 2000? He's certainley not worth the £20mill touted but he will cost at least double what Arsenal have apparently offered. It all fits in with us following the Arsenal model. Sell a player - no need to replace him Desperate for a centre half - but a young winger Make a lot of money from player sales - spend nothing

    Dan Gosling

Gosling looked sluggish which is to be expected, the run out would have done wonders for him. He needs proper game time though, so as HongKongMag says some reserve appearances and sub duty for first team should help.

    Erik Pieters

I know nothing of the player but we are desperate for a natural left back, Taylor has done better than expected even taking out the two excellent free kicks. Not enough to warrant a starting place but I will not be filled with as much woe as in the past if he does have to step in instead of Simpson. In fact, I am no Simpson hater but think that Taylor has played better than him this season, maybe I am lying to myself and the two free kicks have blinded my judgement, but if Pieters was eligble for Sunday I won't be too disappointed to see a back four of Raylor, Taylor, King Colo, Pieters
  24. I won't be surprised at all to see him turn this contract down. QPR doesn't really match his profile. No matter what anyone thinks of this whole situation Barton is very egotistical, he believes he is an England International, you don't get many of them wanting to sign for QPR at the moment. I just want the whole saga done and dusted. In an ideal world Barton comes back and is given a two year contract then hopefully this sorry situation is put to bed, unfortunatley all I can see happening is Barton returning not signing a new contact and each week being a ticking time bomb.
