Also, he optimises everything wrong with our club at that time. Big names, big reputations, only here for money and other interests when as fans you didn't think they worked hard enough.

Simpson gets beaten by Lennon for the goal and he receives criticism, Santon gets beaten by Lennon and Bale hits the post and nothing is said. I think he actually won the header at the far post for the goal but she should definitely have reacted the same way Defoe & Saylor did, instead he stood still. He won't get better if we don't mention the weaknesses.
-
Arguably worse than Simpson defensively today.
-
My bad.. when Lennon raped him for the Bale header that hit the bar.... i've been up since 5am
-
Should've defended both goals better. He should have also reacted after the initial header for the second goal like Saylor instead of being a statue, might've prevented the goal.

Saw him in Manchester a few weeks ago. Big lad. Would'nt go around smashing his possessions tbh.

Romain Amalfitano joins Dijon permanently for an undisclosed fee

I'd heed heavy caution against that, lifting weights while we make him stronger at the same time could see him lose the agility which is one of the bright spots in his game atm. Take Cristiano Ronaldo for example and compare him to when he joined Man Yoo to now his agility and ability to move in tight spaces is non existent now. There's a definite balance to be had when trying to beef up, you want him to get stronger but you don't want anything to be taken away from his current game. Anyway i like what i have seen so far i think he could play in a midfield 3, outwide in 4-4-2 or one of the attacking midfield roles in 4-2-3-1. Agreed. He has alot of effort into cultivating a chiselled physique which is more suited to advertising campaigns for undergarment companies. Footballer by trade, part-time model. Fair play to him though. The earnings window for footballers is a limited one. He's found his niche in a market, outside of football, and he's laughing all the way to the bank. But as you say though, one aspect of his game has suffered as a result. He's added quite a bit of bulk, to what was a wirey frame. One could argue, as you're alluding to, that C.Ronaldo has gone beyond just improving his basic core strength (which is beneficial in any sport), and his agility & slipperyness (in tight spaces) has been affected. The difference with Ronaldo is that he's so f***ing quick that losing a bit of agility hasn't actually affected his game in an overtly adverse way. The only player I can think of who declined/became shitter when bulking up is Agbonlahor, and he wasn't especially good in the first place. Perhaps that's a bad example, though. His strength is a major bonus. He's built like a 200m/400m runner. -
You can use all those negative words to describe Sergio Busquets and he's a gem of a player.

Don't think it is our loss, we want players that want to play for the club not the wage and lifestyle. His attitude has been in question a long time, very talented player but poorly advised imo. Unless it's a significantly better club, 99% of players go to whoever is willing to pay them the most. QPR being willing to pay him top dollar is an indication they will sign the players they want and make sure they land them.

Would rather we focus on winning a cup. -

Zlatan is turning 31 soon. He went for a lot more when he went to Barca at around 27. -
Again, would you turn down New York and mega $$$? No and it doesn't make you a dick.
-
Well if he joins a club like Fulham or West Ham for more money then we are best not signing him. I don't understand this logic, you wouldn't apply it to your own life. None of the clubs are real challengers, none have won a trophy in a long time and would most likely be stepping stones. Europe is a bonus but it is the EL which isn't a huge draw. Unless I was convinced an employer was really going somewhere (which is Mike & Dekka's job), i'm going to work for whoever will pay me the most/the most responsibility. Wham are a yoyo club though.

Tbf to the lad he's better than sitting on the bench for us. He would start for about half the teams in this league. He's a pretty good defender.
-
I like that tactic. We'll wait until it's right for us because we have capable players already. I like the fact that we never pay a premium.
-
15-20m would've been too fair of a price imo. When I heard 30m I thought it was a joke, when it was 35m I couldn't believe it. I don't want him back. We've evolved into a better football team and i fear we will regress if he's brought back.
-
We wasn't going to challenge for Europe that season nor get relegated. It's shit selling your best players and I would've been very annoyed to see him go for 15-20. But £35million?
-
I was worried Fat Mike would pocket the cash but if you couldn't tell 35m was a great deal, you're an idiot.
-
Only the idiots thought we got a bad deal at £35m. That's Zlatan money. Villa money. He was never going to be sold on for that money.
-
How stupid can you be if you go to France?! Congrats you will win the france championship. But that´s it in a league that is really bad. If you have that shitload of money, how can you chose to buy a club in France The league has potential. Nice City. Win the Champions League.
-
Aye and Steven Gerrard was pretty fucking great that season too.

Reus?
