Last year Guthrie stepped up well most of the time when Yohan was out.

I'm really glad we have Colo as our #1 defender. You get the impression someone like Saylor models himself on the Terry mould of defender. Whilst a great player in his own right, you always knew once the little pace he had left, he'd be a big weakness. Terry's no slower than Colo really but it's affected his game hugely.

Aye, a great backs-to-the-wall defender.

The most over-rated English defender. Wouldn't say he's one of the best defenders of his generation.
-
Eh? He was okay in '04 and '06. That's not a grand achievement.

Perch is actually abit of a footballer though. Willo a decent defender and a poor footballer by Premiership standards.

Aye it's not even something i considered during the summer but it would help so much with the balance of the team. a RB that goes on the outside of Hatem would be good too. Anita looks like he can provide that. I hope Santon can show he only needs a Jonas infront of him when facing a double thronged threat.

We need a left footed player that actually plays on the left. In the wide areas we have 3 right footed players and the left footed one plays on the right.

Offensively, CH teams are better on the eye. Defensively, Pards is better and with the talent we have going forward. A sturdy defence, we'll always be good to nick a few going forward.

He's better in midfield against physical opposition. For a DM/central midfielder he's big. Looks taller than anyone else that plays there for us and he's obviously strong in the challenge and good in the air for that position. I reckon Pards thought we would dominate possession against Norwich and would need a better passer of the ball in that position. Anita, Cabaye & Jonas is a lightweight midfield. With Tiote back we might not need Perch in midfield.

1. Shola (if he's on the pitch) 2. HBA 3. Demba

We've nee won a trophy in a lifetime. Would love us to break the hoo-doo even if it means a midtable finish and the league cup.

Rivalry in terms they are historically the biggest clubs in England.

Yep the season before last he was on 14 and would've missed 3 games at the start last season had he got booked. Last season he wasn't suspended at all.

The thing about Scholes is he can play however you like it and more importantly however he likes it. A Michael Carrick needs a slower game to be able to control it. Scholes can control any game and play it at his pace. That's why I think he's so popular abroad. Need a goal, Scholes can finish. You won't out battle Scholes. A game can be slow or frantic and Scholes will control.
