  1. One thing's for sure, if he can't adapt at Chelsea he's got no chance here. We're hardly renowned for helping players realise their potential. I have to disagree with you there because Shevchenko feeds on service yet chelsea don't even play with wingers, he's having to create the chances himself ( it isn't his style of play) Where as we.. we'll we smash crosses into the box even when no-one is there, so In my opinion I believe he'd score more for us than at chelsea at this current moment in time because we will provide him with a more chances to score. I actually agree with this. Our players seem to see Alan's ghost when they are in wide position.
  2. Nothing like a Craig Bellamy thread on newcastle-online eh?
  3. Aren't the UEFA Cup winners almost always Champions League drop outs? CSKA and Seville where always entered in UEFA (i think) I reckon CSKA would beat us and it'd take Shay on top form to have any chance of beating Arsenal, so hopefully the team that drops out gets knocked out by another team.
  4. Superman is what came to mind.
  5. I honestly believe I have as much footballing talent as Ramage....if not more. The lad is terrible but it aint his fault.
  6. He often plays upfront on his own and his good in the air. Nobody wanted him at 3m 2 years ago and it would just hurt our already fragile pride to splurge 9M on him.
  7. Christ Almighty. What? Perhaps comparing him to one of the greatest goalies of all time after 1 appearance.
  8. I can run faster than Milner and my crossing isn't much worse and i'll play for 1/10th of the cost. I'm in the prime of my time at 26, you'll have me at my peak. Give me a call Freddy! The College Dropout>James Milner
  9. Jermaine Defoe moved to Spurs in Jan. when they where struggling. Their are a few championship/foreign players who would do a good job.
  10. Won't this have some effect on the injury when it comes to rehabilitation? Just let the lad have the operation.
  11. The team isn't to good to go down but with the size of our club (transfers, salaries) we should be nowhere near the foot of the table.
  12. Are we allowed to post the fixtures like that?
  13. What has happened to him? Will become our Harry Kewell? I thought his arrival would mean we'd have 2 good left wingers, instead both look poor.
  14. We all know the lad is crap but his injury must have some impact on his perfomance.
  15. Looked promising in his first year. His 2nd, we only played him sparingly and out of position when he was low on confidence and had that nightmare of a game at Marseille.
  16. He's certainly had a terrible start over there, I'd stick with him for 18 months/2 years.
  17. I'd probably be one of them. It's very funny because it happens everytime.
  18. That's the thing, he will still have his shares although as chairman doesn't he have a say in how the dividends are paid out (with the board)? He won't lose to much by falling back a little. I agree, he loves the attention/limelight.
  19. lol as I wrote that Villa just scored against Blackburn.
  20. I would love Mark Hughes to take over because I believe he's got what it takes to become a top-class manager however he'll never join such a mess.
  21. lol, I found it funny how he never mentioned Luque. As someone said at the very worst he's taking a man off Rossi.
  22. I've always reckoned he was grossly over-rated by the fans.
