Potter is such an uninspiring hire. Dull football manager.
-
They are shit.
-
A draw is fantastic. Massive games for us now.
-
He’s going to Saudi or similar. MLS maybe.
-
I said when we signed him the stats suggest he gives the ball away a fair amount. And he does for us. It’s fine no player is perfect. Isak is one footed and has stamina issues. Bruno G is slow. They are still tip top players
-
People in the know said when Tonali joined that he wasn’t a traditional registrar that was metronomic with his passing. He gave it away a lot. and we see that now. He’s an extremely high action player. He moves the ball very quickly. Sometimes that leads to sloppy passing where a little patience is better. It’s the one thing preventing him from being truly top tier. The best central midfielders usually know when to slow it down and when to speed it up. Tonali is nearly always going quick. That suits our style but doesn’t help with some of our possession issues.

Agreed. Annoyingly Everton will be live opponents in our final game. Let’s end it all before then. They are a bad fit for us if we need 3 points. Thankfully I think the last game at Goodison will be so emotional they won’t have much left to give.
-
Yep. This is why I wanted Villa to lose last week. They are quality and have depth. They just have too many games to get 66+ points imo. But they neee to dropping points and get out the race asap.

Southampton are too shit.

Best defender suspended. Called it a massive miss last week when it happened. He’s back for us.
-
We need some space from Villa
-
A lot of travel for them. I think Glasner might rotate a few. They will want to go into the semi final fresh. They’ve got 4 games between that Sat Weds Sat Weds before the semi.
-
Agree with this. No doubt we’ll smash Man U and Chelsea imo. It’s Palace that’s most tricky. If we go in with a 3+ points lead on Chelsea, a win basically means we’ll finish above Chelsea. An eliminator. I hope it’s an actual eliminator for them

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

What a player he was. Etikite should learn from him. Anelka had a wonderful career but he could’ve been Henry - immortal. -

Ekitike’s touch and technical ability makes him look like he has a higher ceiling. Plus his size and overall profile. Balogun looks a finisher. But there’s a reason he was never given a shot at Arsenal and a bigger club than Monaco didn’t come in for him. Not to say they are always right. Lots about a young Havertz game points to him becoming a top player - a big reason he’s had such massive transfer fees. Similar also to Isak. Before he joined us he had some up and down seasons and transfers but still was linked to top clubs and demanded a massive transfer fee. -
Crystal Palace are better than Lyon man.

Maybe Palace too

Bournemouth would win this competition you know.

Good scouting aye. But he wasn’t an unknown and he did end up signing for PSG instead. He scored 10 Ligue 1 goals as a teenager - no? And he obviously had bags of ability. Going forward we are well placed to land these types of players and the Isak / Tonali types. -
Yes

This isn’t FM. He wouldn’t choose to come here and sit on the bench when he had offers to play. -
Financial Fair Play / Profit & Sustainability
The College Dropout replied to Mattoon's topic in Football
But they didn’t. So I’m not going to assume we’ll get the PSG treatment. You maybe right - but I want another smaller club to test it out. -
Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)
The College Dropout replied to Nobody's topic in Football
I assume at least 1 will be kept a further year. Probably 2 or 3. We need to add quality to this team. I’d rather push players down the pecking order where possible than sign squad fillers. He might end up being sold anyway. We’ll sign a prime time CB this summer. We must. So I’m not worried about Jamaal if he stays or goes. -

I’ve previously mentioned they banned AC Milan for less. -
I think Mbeumo is a Jota, Diaz, Gakpo level signing rather than a Mane, Salah level signing. They need an attacker that level up to what they already have. They need to be in the market for the next Olise, Doue.
