I still don't like Barnes & Gordon as our wide players. It limits Barnes as a goal scorer and neither are creative.

Nah it won't. But there's going to be a Madrid opening in the summer. He had a good spell over there - won the league and La Decima. Carlo is leaving. It's 1+1 IMO. Don Flo will love that he's ex-Madridista and big name.

He's the standout manager who isn't at one of those mega clubs. Possibly similar to Mourinho at Porto in that sense but he hasn't actually won anything but because of his stature as a player and his current achievements he's at the top of the list. Even if we were doing better, he still stands out. Managing the European campaign well helps too.

He’s not naturally a top 6 player either.

You think Alonso is leaving Leverkusen this season? They are 4 points clear in the Bundesliga and a top seed in the CL 2nd round. He’s one of the few managers I would trade Howe for. But I reckon he is Real bound at the end of the season with Carlo going to Brazil. He could possibly come here but certainly not this season.

Gordon Barnes Almiron Murphy (Joelinton) Not nearly enough depth or quality in the wide areas. 2 injuries has us flogging our wide men week after week. We’ve neglected the RW position for 3 windows straight. If we have 1 of Kudus or Palmer we are 3-6 points better off this season. Im never mad at Almiron. He’s played over 100 games for us. He is what he is and he tries his best. He’s just not good enough to be our starting RW.

I don’t think those were his choices.

I had my concerns about going balls deep with Howe ball in the summer. But most of those key players have been unavailable for various reasons so hard to say if it was the wrong route without hindsight. I think the Hall transfer was questionable at the time. Essentially secured Burn as first choice LB. Style of play sustainability wise. Lack of rotation. Lack of flexibility. These are my biggest systemic issues with Howe.

Even if it’s in Feb. We’ll grind out a win. And start putting a run together. Once we have options back. If we get to 90% fitness and fresher legs. We are largely better player for player than 12 teams in this division.

This isn’t the first time he’s been roasted for the first half and stayed in the pitch. It’s a regular occurrence tbf. Usually he comes out better at half time Though.

Aye that was the issue with the Hall transfer. He was never coming in as a starter. Livra is good at LB but he’s a square peg in a round hole there. And he needs to play more at RB to keep Trippier sharp.

Aye. But we have impatient fans. For me - there’s zero point in sacking him mid season. Most sensible owners don’t do this often. Even Abramovic was loathe for a mid season sack. It’s mostly because the best managers are rarely available mid season.

Never had an issue with Chris Wood. Always tried his best. Limited but at least he was always fit and was a target man. We couldn’t turn down the money cos of FFP but I liked him as a bench option. Weirdly happy for him.

Early on Trippier threw a ball into him and he sliced it on the volley to give them a free kick in a dangerous area. Bad decisions and sloppy play for the entire match.

At fault for 2 goals today. For the first.. he should bring MGW down but even after he just runs into no man’s land. WTF? Made other mistakes. I don’t know man.

Beat match is ages. On a sharper day he scores a couple or sets one up. Some things I wish he did better but overall was probably our best player. Boufht that penalty too.
