  1. Wages the issue? Man U should subsidise the gap in expectations. Will still bank £15m. No sensible club will spend money on Maguire and match his wages.
  2. After Mings got injured it was 1-way traffic and we could’ve scored 6 or 7.
  3. I’ve got a lot of respect for Ferguson but we were not played off the park at all. I do think it was a very even game until the last 20.
  4. Under Tuchel he rarely played 8. Or at least if he did he always had 2 of Kova, Kante or Jorginho behind him. So more of a 10 than 8. Same thing for England. Plays really far forward with holders and controllers behind him. Sure he pressed and does some good things. But he’s never impressed me like that. Off the ball he’s great both offensively and defensively. But on thr ball he’s a level below Maddison.
  5. With the way fees are going. We could sell Bruno with 1 year left on his contract for £100m. With most of his fee amortised we would be FFP laughing. That’s the worst case scenario as well.
  6. The lad is another level. We rate Anderson. Garnacho is a couple years younger and further in this development. If he continues to progress he will become an elite player imo. Or close. And Elanga is decent.
  7. Will be a great player. Id love Ferguson on the tele. Forgot more about football than anyone else knows regularly on tv.
  8. Edwards left. Replaced by nobody and then an old man pal of Klopps. Edwards signed Salah. Klopp wanted Julian Brandt.
  9. A super league still happens. The biggest point of contention was ‘the closed shop’ and they will semi scrap that. In the meantime the CL becomes more super league like by every iteration eg more games, extra places to the best performing league… eventually they’ll get an inheritance place. The super league doesn’t displace the national league (at first l) anyway. The first target is UEFA and its competitions.
  10. Chelsea must be offering massive wages if Caicedo, Lavia and Olise are choosing them over City and Liverpool.
  11. Caicedo is better than Joelinton like. Just as physical but a cleaner tackler and a better passer. Joelinton better at carrying the ball and more of a goal threat. Caicedo is like Ben White and MacAllister. Just a class all round footballer. Burn has done well for us. Trossard again is a very good all round player. I think Bissouma will be decent for spurs this season. It’s only Cucu who I don’t rate at all.
  12. Option to buy way better than obligation.
  13. Almirons stamina is way better but hopefully Gordon will get there. Gordon is a more ‘natural’ footballer than Almiron. Uses both feet, strikes it cleaner etc. but I see the similarities
  14. We’re not that athletic outside of our front 5. If opps beat the press and aggressiveness from CBs. We can be got.
  15. Find this most prevalent from those why cry at every little critique
  16. He’s not the most athletic but at his best he thinks a split second faster than others. Sometimes he’s a bit sloppy and erratic.
  17. Both. We don’t finish top 4 without the Isak signing. This season.. need at least 1 more defender. We couldn’t cope with an injury crisis.
  18. I’ll reserve judgment on where these 2 until I see them After the window closes. They both need to find a couple levels. I don’t think we finish 4th with the squad we had GW1 (Isak joining was such a lift and I think motivated Wilson).
  19. Sturridge is a character. He’s brought some personality to proceedings.
  20. Aye. He seems to fall out with managers / clubs a lot. He always scores goals though. He used to get compared to Kane and he’s clearly a level or two below that. But if he knuckled down at a PL club for the next 4 years he would be close to 200 PL goals. But he seems to find issues.
  21. Players are either brilliant or they’re shit. No space for nuance.
  22. Aye. But today they could have started Jones instead of Gakpo.
