£120m. And still no.
-
Don’t think the roles suited Szob or MacAllister or Gakpo. I rate Klopp highly as a manager. But that’s not a serious PL midfield 3.
-
Think both teams will get better. But there’s a lot for both managers and clubs to do. As you say, as they are - nothing to be scared of. But I think they get better. Lukaku has almost 400 goals in his career. Scored 15+ in PL and Serie A goals in 7 seasons. ‘Not very good’. In the right setup he’s a very good player.
-
Felt like a pre season game.
-
Lukaku would eat in this Chelsea team. Jackson behind him. Would love it.
-
Both teams are a couple players short. Not having CL Will helps both a lot. The Jackson lad is a baller.
-
Liverpool need 2 actual central midfielders. But fortunately they’ve befe a joke behind the scenes. Only have Kloppp yes men.
-
I agree. I think it’s been the rule for awhile. A lot of these Toyo’s are yellow cards though.
-
Gallagher stays getting run past in midfield. A lot of these tackles ARE yellow cards. The bar for yellow cards is far too high in the PL and it causes injuries.
-
Isak so much better than Nunez. Tonali so much better than MacAllister.
-
It’s taken awhile but Chelsea look an actual football team today. Caicedo for Gallagher. I like the look of Jackson. Glad they don’t have a proper striker. They are an Isak away from being really good (assuming Caicedo and Lavia sign).
-
Feck. He hasn’t been at his best towards the end of last season. I hoped he would start this season on fire but he was sloppy again.
-
We are arguably one of the weakest links in Europe for the coefficient. A bad draw and we could feasibly finish 4th in the CL. BEing in pot 4. West Ham being in Europa is an added bonus.
-
Aye. But for now I would consider it the top 4. If 5th is CL that’s a bonus. While more than likely it’s not a given.
-
I believe it’s based on THIS years standalone coefficient. So the top 2 performing nations in Europe this season get an extra CL place next season.
-
I like MacAllister at DM but next to Gakpo and Szob? Looks crazy. excited to see it tbf
-
Perisic is a better fit than Son if Spurs are playing with 90s style wingers.
-
Him choosing Barca over Real was one of the best thing a happen to Madrid. He’s not been a Madrid style player since his Brazilian league days.
-
Depends on coefficient for the season isn’t it?
-
Maybe not title rival. But I’d think Howe should get us back into the top 4. As it stands I don’t expect top 4 again.
-
We have built a team for our managers style. Spurs is a team that isn’t in any managers style. Son and Kulu under Howe would be gold.
-
Was like £30m Royal wasn’t he? Sanchez £40m. Spurs recruitment has been shakey for some years now.

One last interesting point. We dropped our pressing intensity far earlier than we usually do. Just sat in a low block. With the extra games and longer games. It’s a good way to ensure we retain our fitness levels through the season. -
I feel a similar way about Almiron in the way you can often see him trying to sort his feet and body position out. Awkward.
-
This is why I love Carlo man. And Howe for similar reasons. Get the best out of your best players. Son wide like that? Nah man.
