  1. Conte for all his bitching won 53% of his league games this season. They will actually have to go some to keep that up let alone improve it. They were on track for 67-70 points when he left.
  2. That's not rotation. Rafa was a rotation man. You could win, be match fit, played well.... then sit on the bench next game - rotated. Simple. Likewise Klopp is one to manage minutes carefully but he only does it when approaching "the red zone". Pep too. EH will have to become a rotation man when we're in the CL next season.
  3. If Havertz was Turkish, Bulgarian or Senagalese he would get far more criticism. He's got talent and will score lovely goals, show some touch. skill and movement. But he's so inconsistent. Flatters to deceive. 3 managers have not managed to get him performing on a consistent basis. German players (ethnic Turkish don't count) don't have a reputation of being sometimeish, lazy, inconsistent, lacking authority but he's exactly that. Half the criticism of Ozil with half the output.
  4. And also not that good. His biggest failure was his inability to get them to defend properly. He's not a good coach.
  5. Irrespective of others falling off. Arsenal are likely to get 88+ points this season. If they can sustain that they'll challenge for some time. Youngest team in the league. Don't need to sell.
  6. Liverpool need to win 9 out of their 10 remaining fixtures to get into the CL.
  7. Liverpool have lost 9 times in 28 games. They'll not be near top 4 unless something magically changes.
  8. We just need to keep the defence, Bruno and Isak injury free.
  9. The touch in the first half was even better.
  10. 65 points has only been enough for 4th twice in the last 10 years and the team that got 4th got more points than that. Aye. 6W, 2D, 3L even feels like too many defeats based on our performance this season. 5W, 5D, 1L also achievable. Keep everybody fit and I think we do it.
  11. IMO it hasn't equipped him for an EPL career. Bundesliga is technical and fast paced but doesn't have the same physicality or pressure which is what Sancho needs to develop. He wouldn't have had the caps earlier in his career that he got but he would be in a better position now. Sancho has had youth football and Bundesliga football and began to believe his own hype. The EPL is different gravy and he's struggling with it mentally and physically. There's this clip of him and Saka from a few years ago in England training while Sancho was at Dortmund. I think Saka did better at some training practice (shooting or something) and was bragging about it in a joking manner. Sancho said something like "ok but who has more goals and assists this season? Who has more goals and assists?" all banter but it spoke to his mindset. He thought his Dortmund career meant he had made it and was levels. This is Sancho specific. He's a classy, technical player. If he wants a top level EPL career he needed to learn the other side of the game. Looking at his career - that's probably the side of his game that needs to mature and develop. Technically he seems pretty solid but he doesn't have that nous in terms of timing, decision making etc.
  12. Kane is an elite footballer. But he's also pretty dirty. Bad tackles. Dives.
  13. Neville said he doesn’t watch much footbal outside of his clubs and work and it shows in his analysis these days. If we’re in the mood, we’ll outrun, pace, power, work rate, energy mosy teams in the league. And with Bruno and Isak we have some real quality in the final third with ASM. We’ve played at least 20 games this season in that manner. That midfield 3 Man U started doesn’t have the legs or work rate to keep up with us. Fred should’ve started.
  14. He does tbf. Eddie signed him I’m sure.
  15. My point is simple. Antony doesn't look an elite talent... nowhere close. He might go on to perform much better but he's not that talented. 20 goals in a farmers league, I don't care.
  16. I'd be happy for Bournemouth to stay up. All the rest have players I would take (except Everton but they can get fooked).
  17. ETH has never managed in the PL. He may have misjudged the requirements.
  18. ETH should have to answer to 80m on Antony in a court of law. He doesn’t have the talent to justify the fee.
  19. I’ve seen Grealish electrify in the PL. not seen it from Sancho or Antony. I’ve seen talent and ability from Sancho though. Antony is a 40m player TOPS.
  20. Joelinton, Longstaff, McTominay, Willock seems like overkill for what is 2 roles. We can't find anyone with a bit more technically for that role?
  21. In my mind i'm thinking we need a player that can come in and help play with Bruno and fill a void if he's not there. McT isn't that. If he's meant to be another runner and we want 4 of these hard runners and nothing else from that role - aye that's fair.
  22. The Villa boy and the PSV lad look real talents to me. Chelsea have looked bad whenever i've seen them. IMO keeping him is the equivalent of Arsenal keeping Arteta when they finished 8th. If they had fired him, he could have had no complaints. Sacking him just shows Chelsea don't have that much faith in him. Edu & Arteta hitched themselves to each other and it has paid off in the long-run.
