  1. I wouldn't say "by far". It wasn't like he took over the game by himself. All 3 of ours overran Man U for pretty much 90 minutes straight.. Willock in particular was right up there.
  2. Aye. He’s hit the Robben finish a few times this season. But generally his ball striking is average. He’s not got that elite technique. Sancho also has that lack of pace. But Sancho has greater balance and technique. Sancho would’ve been better off going to the Champo rather than the Bundesliga. He doesn’t know how to scrap it out and fight. He’s not got that dawg in him. He’s as talented as Saka but Saka’s application is 10/10. Any fullback in the world is going to suffer playing Saka. Saka will demand the ball, muscle you, run you, dribble you, ran off your back for 90 minutes. Sancho could never.
  3. Incredible is too strong man but I thought Martinez was their best player easily. McTominay was ok too. The rest were awful. Is Rashford playing injured again? He ran at Trippier once all game. Maybe once at Burn too.
  4. I didn’t say Gordon was better. Gordon for 40m in our system is better value than Antony and Sancho for 80m each for Man United. I think Sancho is a very talented player but his application isn’t there. But Gordon might actually be more talented than Antony. Gordon is quicker, better work rate and can actually use his weaker foot. From what I’ve seen, Antony is bang average man. I don’t think he’s any more talented than the likes of Sinesterra(sp?), Bowen, the other West Ham wide player, Olise etc. Antony might prove me wrong but I don’t see a baller at all.
  5. Would he look a level above at a club like Leicester, West Ham or Leeds?
  6. They largely haven't signed superstars.
  7. McFred was the obvious and correct move in midfield. Maybe even Sabitzer as well and Fernandes further up. We've got legs and workrate in midfield and you put a 10 in there and Sabitzer and we outran you all game. Dalot needed protection from the winger not the centreback. That was a mistake. And his substitutions killed the game. Ten Hag's done a decent job but his record away from home against decent sides is awful
  8. I questioned the transfer but him for 40m is better than Sancho for 70m and Antony for 80m. Sancho is talented but doesn’t demand the ball enough and plays too safely. Not enough work rate. Antony lacks ability. He wouldn’t look out of place at Leeds and I’m surprised he was allowed to be signed. Gordon fits our style of play perfectly. I like him on the right because he can go both ways. Physically and mentally everything we are about. Will be a valuable squad member. ASM Gordon Diaby / Barnes Almiron Not bad.
  9. He either Great friends with Willock or he hates him. He gets extra angry at Willock for not passing him the ball and that Reaction to Willocks miss was hilarious
  10. We were still overrunning their midfield and creating chances. Willock and Longstaff, Isak all has good chances. I think or Xg was close to 2 at half time. They needed to change something. The switch in midfield quietened our attacks for the first 15 minutes or so tbf.
  11. Said this elsewhere. Players with the physical and mental profile of Willock, Joelinton and Longstaff tend to not have hit greatest technical ability.
  12. Potter has been awful like. As has Rodgers this season.
  13. He’s got Dalot’s number. Simple as that. AWB injured. A different game if he was fit. Oh well.
  14. 7. A lot depends on fitness. If we can keep that spine injury free we can really do it.
  15. I was telling my friend before the Notts game. Newcastle strikers aren’t as good footballers as he is. Demba Ba was an assassin and a hard worker. Wilson has the sniff and has real pace. Remy could cut in from wide, pace and movement. Carroll was dominant in the air. But Isak? He can can drop deep and link up play. Dribble into space. Beat a man with a shoulder drop. Has a trick or 3. Quick. Can score a header. Delightful touch. Movement. This is a baller the likes that I haven’t seen at SJP since Shearer.
  16. I didn’t say he was MOTM. But he had 2 of the biggest chances and was the biggest talking point.
  17. I’m glad the SS interviewer called out ETH for Man U’s time wasting. Bald prick.
  18. He missed 2 others at the least. He was the main character all game pretty much.
  19. Those defensive subs were weird for ETH. It folded the game. I thought we went defensive too early. But those subs killed the game.
  20. Was immense. Love his switch of play.
  21. There was one in the first half I think. Leathered at him. He caressed it like a cat. His movement is great. Drops deep to link. He won headers and held it up pretty well. Didn’t get any chances today but he’ll get goals. QUALITY player.
  22. He had Dalot on toast. He had 5 or 6 shot creating passes. And an actual assist. It came off.
