  1. While spurs have had poor management, lots of injuries, maybe poor signings and deep European runs. While most of them haven’t had any Europe. Pretty much every established PL side is 1 good transfer window away and a good manager from finishing in the top 8. Let alone Spurs.
  2. Their squad will be top 8 in terms of squad cost and wages. It will not be a miraculous turnaround to finish 6th with no European football, a good manager and a good transfer window and better luck with injury.
  3. Love Pope. Legend to me. Best I’ve seen for us at his best. But my boy is finished.
  4. All of us Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Liverpool, Man U, Villa and Spurs should be aiming for top 6. We all can’t get it. The extra games for most of the traditional mid pack should be a killer for them. Expect them all to finish bottom half
  5. That required under performance from us, Spurs and Chelsea. You can’t expect those club will underperform again.
  6. It’s the long contract, likely bigger wage and the prestige. He could rupture his Achilles tomorrow and be a random kid from Nigeria again. We’ll need a strong financial package and do a lot to convince him of our project vs a guaranteed £20m.
  7. Are we offering him a first team position this season? At least in the squad right? If he joins Chelsea he’s going to Ligue 1.
  8. Aye. Could break a leg and become half the player overnight - future earnings never realised. Get a fat contract as soon as you can.
  9. Shepherd was never going to hire better than SBR. And he didn’t.
  10. Maintain the Barca result had massive echoing impact.
  11. It’s a bit of both though no? Eli Kroupi and Rayan are both genuine massive talents. Rayan in particular was doing the business at a good level before jointing.
  12. All PL clubs become fair sellers when there’s 2 years left on a contract. Outside of that the clubs are often unwilling. Pretty unwilling at 2 years on a contract often too
  13. That’s the point. It’s not about what he has won. They are thinking about how the style of play fits with the club and if the manager can work within the system. Glasner moaning every week about sales and recruitment would have put off owners.
  14. The football is counter attack and he falls out with ownership. He’s not won enough to have multiple top teams fighting for it.
  15. In what is a 25-28 man playing team. You need 3-5 designated leaders. Thats the norm in any type of human group working towards a goal. People that hold peers to account, to set standards, to communicate sentiment up and down etc. The group needs rock solid characters mind. I look at spurs and they don’t have it for example.
  16. Marco Silva has done himself a huge disservice by not going deep in cup competitions. I like his football more than Glasner but if Howe left I would want Glasner way before Silva.
  17. Do Barca have similar rules for being President? It’s maybe too extreme but I like the premise. Spanish. 25 years a member. Stupid rich.
  18. If he’s not fully committed to the cause I want him sold. Hanging on to players weren’t committed to the club was the start of Spurs decline. You can hold maybe 1 player up for a year but you can’t carry multiple imo.
  19. Don't think Nwaneri is a winger at all. He has the talent to take Odegaard's shirt imo. Looks like Dowman is already ahead mind
  20. He's a lot better than given credit for, even among us. There was a point I thought he was a middling PL CB at best. But in the 5th season he was immense week after week. Prefer him to Botman now.
  21. Can always be creative. Loan with a minimum obligation to buy for summer.
  22. We need to get back to being ruthless in the market; Gordon, Isak, Bruno - we were ruthless.
