Pickford’s not that good with his feet. He can rake a long one on a sixpence SOMETIMES. But other times it’s useless. And he doesn’t use common sense. I’ll never forget the amount of times he booted it straight to a Spanish player in the euros final in that second half. Kane didn’t win anything all night neither did Watkins but Pickford kept launching it.

Massive fan of super Cal. But he’s regressed substantially. People comparing him to Welbeck of today, Welbecks close to the same nuisance he’s always been. Strong, athletic, hold it and link it. He’s at worst 80% of the player he was - at least for an hour. Wilson looks half the player he was. The pace is gone. He can scrap a but that’s it. it’s one reason to get Mbeumo - he’s a genuine option at ST. We do need someone else when Isak isn’t fit.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Mitrovic was a talent like -
I think Gordon is fragile mentally. That’s why he’s always awful against Everton. It’s all between the ears. He talks a good game but you can see he’s mentally off it. He’s too emotional.

He would do a Joelinton role. -

Even Sissoko would be dynamite under Howe. -

Howe wouldn’t suffer HBA. Gini is a Howe CM for sure. Would love that profile actually -
Didn’t Semenyo score a brace in the final league game of the season? What I like about Semenyo is he can strike off both feet, he’s jinky so he’s good against a low block but also on transition and he can prove a bit of magic. Also seems to work hard. What I don’t like is he’s a bit of a volume shooter and not creative. JP - just doesn’t fit our system. But he would provide an option for 4231 and help us become a better possession side. But he’s not a 9 or a RWer. Elanga I like but I think he has the lowest ceiling. A bit too dependent on the transition. But he’s got a super motor. These are all lads that would be good pickups 24 months ago for half the price mooted now. Of the 3 I slightly prefer Semenyo because he’s an actual RW and is jinky. I doubt we get any of them though.

Also more likely to get a ‘big’ move. As a free transfer he could go to Liverpool or City. For £60m he’s looking at the level below and lower wages.
-
We need the next JP. He’s not consistent enough and we don’t play with a 10 which is his best position.
-
Honestly - we should stick with what’s been working. I don’t want to turn into Spurs. Happy to build on a PL experience and British core and supplement with foreign purples we are convinced will succeed and the youth signings.

Aye. Even Inter. Maybe Chelsea or Atleti. His game is his game. He doesn’t lose the ball because it’s fun. His game is going for the jugular - whether it’s on or it isn’t. The very best clubs weren’t sure about him which is why he went to Man U in the first place. He’s done great for them but not enough for thr very best to try and get him now.

Im all for triple locking the Eddie Howe play book on transfers. But Jamie Vardy does not fit the description.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

Top managers come out with BS all the time. Relatively few offer little excuse. Howe and Ancelotti spring to mind. Pep himself gives credit to opposition. But Klopp, Mourinho, Ferguson etc. talk a lot of crap -
Think the slipping was less of a physical thing - Everton players weren’t slipping.

Would snap anyone’s hands off for £25m

Don’t remember it specifically but it was a nonsensical question. I’ve been on this forum 20 years.
-
He’ll not go to Real or Barca and if he does he’ll be found out. I don’t expect he’ll be high on the list of those clubs. Maybe Inzaghi could work his magic with him or Conte. I don’t expect him to leave for a European club because most elite clubs will know better.
-
He’s not good enough for Real or Barca. His all or nothing style of play wouldn’t translate well in an elite side as part of a team that he’s not the best player of. Loses the ball too much and can’t carry it.
-
Fernandes is a great player for a bad team. I’m not sure he’ll be great in a great team - unless he’s the main man. He would terrorise Serie A. But he’s not a Real or Barca player
-
Great run from Amad too. I’d like him here.

Timing is everything. If you had Salah instead the whole time you would’ve been fine. A lot will depend of pre season and prices. Reckon Isak will become a true premium at 10m+. Can see Isak being 11m and Haaland being 12m or 10.5
