  1. League 2? He should be aiming way higher than that. Would be a complete waste of time for him. It's better than the reserves or sitting on the bench at Birmingham. I'm confused here, are we talking about Bigi or Campbell. Campbell Could/should go to league 2, Bigi definitely no lower than Championship at all I actually meant League 1 in my first post. Even still - competitive professional football is better than playing for the reserves. For who Bigi? Like below the level he was playing at when we signed him? Don't think it's worth while myself League 1 or reserves? It's a no-brainer. Jermain Defoe went to a side in League 1 when he was 18/19. Was obviously too good for that division, scored better than 1 in 2 but he came back with his stock super high. I also believe Caulker spent a season in League 1, then Championship then a PL loan. It's important to play man. Bigi was only starting in a team that got relegated anyway. One of Macheda's problems is that he's been loaned to teams that are a bit too big for him. Now at Donny before his injuries, he's showed he's a class act.
  2. Will they? Ity's looking like Oscar will have to fire them to the title at this rate. Which won't happen.
  3. Same thing is happening with Tiote. He's just shit at everything and he's not much better than Anita at the things he's good at so he should just sit it out.
  4. NO Logic: Taylor's not even good in the air. MYM's only slightly shorter he's not much worse. Reality: MYM doesn't even mark opponents aerial threats. NO Logic: Steven Taylor makes blocks and last ditch tackles to make up for previous mistakes in positioning. MYM has a better footballing brain. Reality: MYM often uses his pace to make up for his poor positional play. And if not that, he'll run away from trouble/physical duels.

  6. A lot of people on this forum talk like Taylor is crap at everything, even the things he's decent at. And say some shit like MYM not being much worse in that regard anyway so he should start. Load of bollocks. Reminiscent of the Cisse excuses at the start of last season.
  7. Did MYM play LB against City? He was hopeless. Think it's RB if he's not to play at CB.
  8. Agree with this he's handy in the air for his position. For some reason teams target him aerially too..

  10. Gael played well for a Championship side (that got relegated aye) but i'm sure he could start for some decent league 2 sides.
  11. This myth that Tiote was poor in the second half of the 5th season is annoying. He had more good games than bad just like 90% of the team.
  12. Santon has promise. But he hasn't been any better than Ryan Taylor defensively. At least Taylor would be in position to get raped, Santon isn't even there.
  13. MYM's positioning is pretty bad. He's often using his pace to make up for mistakes in positioning. Doubt Pardew will make any changes in defence anyway. This isn't the game to put MYM back in. It could bury him.
  14. Carrick agreed. Surprised Capello preferred Barry over him.
  15. I was fortunate to miss the L'pool massacre. Saw the scoreline, forgot about it and continued with my holiday. No such luck this time.
  16. Aye, it comes with the territory as well. The general media concensus seems to be If you're English and good enough to play for Man U/ManC/Chelsea/Arsenal and to a lesser extent Liverpool and Spurs, then you're good enough to play for England. On paper it makes sense, but not always in practice. Gareth Barry and Tom Cleverley being the examples I would use as players that are not good enough for either their teams, or their countries. The alternatives are no better. After them who is there? Osman? Barry's been a better player than Osman.
  17. Davide Santon and the French Danny Simpson are shite going forward like. Won't here me arguing. They play so far forward but rarely contribute anything. Them being so high up must stretch teams at the very least.
  18. John Terry had been a brilliant defender for a decade tbh. Under rated in some parts for his unfashionable style. Also a brilliant leader in his day.
  19. Agbonglahor and Weimannn love a cross like
  20. IMO Belgium have maybe the 4th/5th strongest squad in Europe. Spain, Germany, Italy.. maybe the Dutch who have establishde world class players in certain positions. Biggest weakness with Belgium is age and experience. From country that didn't always make the finals of tournaments to one of the strongest it's a big jump
  21. He's 20. The hype isn't OTT. He's better than 95% of 20 year-old strikers. If he works hard on his game he'll be among the best in the world. He's already one of th top 10 strikers in the division. I'd have Benteke over him if for some reason we could have one for a season. Barely though.
  22. Aye, he's just not particularly sharp. When you read the quotes, you can be lead to believe he thinks only English-born players should play for England. That went out in the 80's for the bigger European countries. He just didn't think whatever point he was trying to make through.
  23. Benteke or Lukaku? Who is better right now?
  24. Needs to just stay fit. He has the potential to be a fantastic player. Personally, he reminds me of Terry. You just know he's a terrible lad.
  25. Comes across as an almighty prick generally, IMO. Agreed. Total opposite of Ramsey in that regard.
