  1. Ignoring the examples given, you are saying you don't want the player who has assaulted our player punished? You aren't bothered he has gotten away with it? I am bothered he didn't get sent off, but banning him after the event doesn't help us one iota.
  2. Without these punishments existing, people will continue to perform the same crimes. This is relevant in football and in life. I think the kid knows he has done wrong and so does everyone else except Whelan and it wouldn't surprise me if martinez doesn't pick him for a couple of games anyway but it still won't help us.
  3. Life is life, this is football we're talking about. Ridiculous to talk about murders and burglaries in the same arguement. i just can't see what good banning him was going to do for NUFC, complete waste of time.
  4. Interesting. looking at some of his other tweets and uploaded photos, I think he supports us... He posts on here. He doesn't, he has a life ban.
  5. If someone walks up to you in the street and punches you in the face what good does it do you if they are sent to prison? I mean you have already been punched in the face so it's not going to help that. Give over man, it's not the same thing at all. It would have helped us if he'd been sent off and we'd played against 10 men, won't make one jot of difference to us if he gets a retor ban. Well he has assaulted our player, I am sure Haidara would have hoped he was punished and is probably annoyed that the lad has got away scot free, as his team mates, coaches, management and fans are. Sorry but it's ridiculous that you seem to think he should just get away with it now. He's been hammered for it but banning him won't give us the 3 points back will it so whats the point.
  6. Ridiculous post. Retrospective punishments tell the player and any other players who have seen it that its unacceptable. Not punishing, and allowing him to get away from the incident scot free just increases the likelyhood of these incidents happening in the future. You can't just let stuff like this slide because it was 'missed' on the day, it's fucking ridiculous. Do we get the 3 points? No, so therefore it's a waste of time. You're either being contrary for the sake of it or you're an idiot. Why am i an idiot? My opinion is that retrospective bans are a waste of time as they do nothing for the victim of the injustice. Take the 3 points off them and give them to us and that would make a difference, banning a fringe player for 3 games doesn't so what's the point.
  7. Aye, never mind justice and all that shite. What difference does it make? Won't help us will it? See the post above. It's about what's right. It's irrelavent whether it's right or wrong. It doesn't help us in the slightest. The kid and the whoole football world know it was a bad one but giving him a ban afterwards doesn't affect the result so what's the point?

  11. I'm not arsed in the slightest that he hasn't been charged. Doesn't help us and doesn't help Haidara. If he was sent off on sunday it would but a 3 game ban doesn't help us especially as he's just a kid who was making his debut not a key player. Retrospective punishments are shit and don't do the victims any good at all.
  12. it's youtubeable. agree about burridge mind. sat behind him on a train from edinburgh and hte entire carriage knew who he was, where he was going etc, loud, arrogant prick. Sat beside him and his missus at the pre season tournament we had at SJP involving Sporting Lisbon, Boro and someone else (might have been Porto) in 1992. He never shut up, criticised every goalkeeper incessently and took the huff with anyone who disagreed with him. He was wearing a ridiculous looking green jump suit that would be described as a Onsie these days. Hi missus never said a word and never lifted her head up from the book she sat and read throughout the 2 games that were played that day.
  13. Ryan taylor v Bolton (i think)
  14. Phil Jones, Darren Fletcher and Nemanja Vidic i think.
  15. Missing for far too long, not involved enough.
  16. WHU Got beat by more goals than we did. West Ham dropped below us and Norwich went above us so we didn't move anywhere. Optical Illusion!!!!!
  17. Worried if you thought we went 3-5-2, but as a wide player in 4-3-2-1 we switch to he did play well. Looked to me we went 3-5-2 when Shola went on.... Perch-Taylor-Yanga Santon Jonas Tiote-Marv-Siss With Santon at least pushing forward. Nah, he kept the back four with Perch, Saylor, Mapou and Jonas. Then had Toite, Sissoko and Santon right out wide right. Then stuck Cisse and Marv in behind Shola.....as lobsided as you can get. Great management like Nope we definitely had a back 3. Would you like me to take pictures? We did , 3 centre halves Perch, Taylor and Mapou with Santon and Jonas pushed into midfield.
  18. We did which was why Santon was so far upfield and able to score. Martinez post match interview was a dsigrace. When told their goal was a handball he was chuffed to bits, said it was great because they've had loads go against them so it was nice to get one for a change and of course like McManananananman is a lovely lad who wouldn't hurt a fly and helps old ladies across the road. I thought we played very well up until Debuchy's injury caused us to reshuffle and this lost us our momentum and we were all over the place for the next 40 minutes or so but then came back into it and could have won it ourselves before their cheating winner which looked deliberate to me.
  19. She'd better keep away from that groin till he's better.
  20. Paul Gascoigne coming out of the newsagents 7.30 this morning.
  21. I know it's not his job to win it but he did narf bottle out of a few tackles on thursday night mind.
  22. Newcastle Central/Main. Metro is the underground. St James Metro Station is at St James Park but St James park is in the city centre anyway and the main railway station is a 10 minute walk.
  23. Colocinni's son? Can we not have a players family/friend in public thread? Sorry, it just made me laugh I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that he was at our academy
