That is poor from Bolton mind. He's been a very good servant to them, stayed with them when they went down and been club captain without being a pick of bother and never bothering the news pages of the papers. I can understand them not giving him a new contract at his age and also understand that testamonials for todays rich players are't a good idea, but a game with money goping to charity to honour his time at the club and allow fans to say goodbye wouldn't go amiss surely?

Was Today in 1977. 1977 Middlesbrough (h) 1-0 (1-0) Division One Kennedy(3) Cooper 33,643 Alan Kennedy gave United an early lead, and there was no further scoring. However, Terry Cooper was dismissed for the visitors. Among the Boro ranks were David Mills, John Craggs and Stuart Boam, all of whom subsequently moved to Gallowgate.

I don't really care, he's got less chance of getting injured sat on the bench than he has on the pitch. True, doesn't get us the three points does it? Not if he's injured no.
-
Total Sport reckon back for Benfica which is a joke as he's ineligable!

aye, the story I heard was after the east stand was built , the leazes end was made up in concrete form to match, but the club ran out of money after the demolition of the leazes ran to Half a million? I heard there was an offer from macalpine to errect the leazes in return for a few hundred season tickets for life- that the board declined, and the stand lay in a yard for a number of years. In the match programme every week in the early 80's (possibly next to Arthur Appletons Column) there was a photo of a scale model of SJP with the East Stand joined and continuing around behind the Leazes End. The paddocks were all that was ever actually finished!

He doesn't need to speak English to do that though does he.

The East Stand had a standing paddock like the one in the leazes end after the roof came down. The benches were installed for the start of the 1980/81 season as a response to the petrol bomb incident against WHU. Kids used sit on a barrier at the front of the paddocks when they were standing but definately no benches in the 70's.

Aye, i couldn't buy tickets until today being a L7 Milburn ST holder. Wouldn't work first thing but got on around 11AM and struggled to get 2 together in the 2 sections of the platinum club i was interested in.

Pure conjecture. Of course. I stand by it, though. I genuinely think Krul would've been out getting both of them, as a keeper should. The first one I would probably agree with. Not sure at what point he is supposed to stop the second mind? He actually makes a save from the ricochet off Scharner and Kone puts in the rebound.

Fucking bang on. Always liked Parker as a player and a person and he's summed up the cowardly tackle and aftermath perfectly there. He's a nice lad, i got his autograph outside Loftus Road when he played against us for QPR and looked like he'd got the tube to the ground as he'd walked from the general direction of White City.

Which is exactly my point.

Anyhow, BBC Total Sport tonight reckon he's only a bit bruised and will be back for Man city.

Good innit?

Without these punishments existing, people will continue to perform the same crimes. This is relevant in football and in life. I think the kid knows he has done wrong and so does everyone else except Whelan and it wouldn't surprise me if martinez doesn't pick him for a couple of games anyway but it still won't help us. "You think the kid knows he has done wrong" This is based on what? The reassuring pat that he gave Haidara, having been told to by his team mate? Or the complete silence after the event? No apology from the player or the club, in fact they have done the complete opposite. Absolutely gutted they weren't all given a f***ing harsh punishment even though it wouldn't have directly affected our results. The result is all that matters and banning him won't change the result. so you don't agree with any bannings ? Not after the event. They're a deterrent man you mentalist, if there were no bans then most games would consist of players kicking each other aheight. Didn't happen in the past before the FA reviewed every thing the ref missed on dvd.

As a few others and myself have brought up, Haidara will have probably wanted to see the lad punished considering what he done to him. Are you not fussed about that at all? No, won't give us the 3 points.

Back to the good old days of not having trial by tv after games.
