Job done and nothing more, we just went through the motions and have now lost HBA and Cisse to injury ahead of an extremely busy period of games. Krul, Simpson, Colo and Santon were fine and Taylor was okay until he blotted his copybook with their goal. Sammy Ameobi has been taking too many lessons off his big brother and continued where he left off from saturday. he needs to go out on loan like Inman has and learn to play football, never had the ball under control once. Anita was once again anonymous against opposition who should have suited him, ie more time and space than in the PL. Bigiramana was okay. HBA wasn't in the game enough and then got injured. I thought Cisse played well, held the ball up but needs to time his runs a bit better and look along the line. Which brings us to Marveaux. His goal was excellent, very well taken and he showed a lot of nice touches, neat and tidy. HOWEVER, I have never seen anyone duck out of as many challenges and 50:50's since Kevin Brock played for us. Subs : Ba was Ba, did okay I thought Amalfitano did alright, actually looked interested and had a go. I can't remember who else came on!! I'm not expecting anything now from Southampton or Stoke and am worried we may lose a third PL game at home on the spin to Wigan!

And it's just caused a bit of a power cut in town, some streetlights have gone off and SJP floodligts aren't on at present, just the dim lights in the stands. It's not pleasent like. -

he he Just saw some middle aged Maritmo fans in Burger King. -
It's always the night before with them isn't it though. Boro got a pasting out there the night before they played in Rome. I can't recall NUFC having major problems with either Roma, Juve, Inter (other than in the ground), Bari or Luchesse mind.

It's mild outside man, 12C but blowing a gale. Winds coming from the south though so ain't cold and i never think it's cold in the ground anyway due to it being so enclosed. -

More bollocks Name one since we got promoted. Phil Bardsley, what do I win? Yes, he's shit but your OTT statements discredit your whole argument. I shudder to think of what you must have made of some of the far poorer players than him we've had in and around the team in our PL years. You think Simpson could score the goals Bardsley has? He's a massive cunt but a better footballer. What the fuck has that got to do with playing right back? It's an example of him being a capable footballer. Why shouldn't fullbacks score? Hoofing balls aimlessly up the park or passing it back to the keeper do not make you a good right back. Countless goalline points saving clearences last season due to holding his position at set pieces and knowing how to defend.

no, I think he is a pile of shit, I just didn't agree with taxfree saying Marveaux is 10 times better, because he has been just as shit, maybe even more when he has played. Marveuax looked okay on saturday as he was fresh and the other players on the pitch had played 80 minutes. When he's started he's been gash, too slow of foot and thought.

I'm sure JFK had us up to the dizzy heights of 8th at one point after beating Villa nd WBA at home. I don't think this season is the same though, we had a wobble last season and the season before in November and December and came through strong and i think we'll do the same. Besides, we'll have to go some to finish below QPR, Reading, Southampton and Villa.

Give over man. Perch is canny cover in the centre and in midfield but is poor at RB. Raylor is better at LB and RM and has good delivery but is not as good as Simpson at RB. Anita has looked reasonably comfortable at RB but is wasted there and isn't as good as Simpson. Tavernier has looked out of his depth and was extremely vulnerable at home to Bruges and away to Atromitos. Bruges even seemed to target him as the weak link.

Cash Turnstiles for the NW Corner Levels 2 and 4. Looked quiet in there for the Bruges game, anyone know what the queues were like? And a heads up for people re traffic on thursday. The Xmas lights are being switched on in town so it'll be busy. -

i agree with this. I disagree with this. i actually think Xisco also would contribute more than shola. Based on nothing. I also disagree with this. Shola is, and should be, third choice striker. Shola is and always has been a crock of shit and the odd goal against the mackems should not cloud anyones judgement otherwise.
-
I agree with this 100%, he's essential to the team and even more so if Cabaye is out for 6 weeks.
-
except taylor was struggling.
-
not sure about that. he was like, sammy was gash.

Xisco ain't injured, just not in the PL squad, in the Euro squad only. Yes he is in the squad: Newcastle United – 22 squad players Player Home Grown 1 Amalfitano, Romain No 2 Ameobi, Foluwashola Yes 3 Anita, Vurnon San Benito No 4 Ba, Demba No 5 Ben Arfa, Hatem No 6 Cabaye, Yohan No 7 Cisse, Papiss Demba No 8 Coloccini, Fabricio No 9 Elliot, Robert Yes 10 Gosling, Daniel Yes 11 Harper, Stephen Alan Yes 12 Gutierrez, Jonas Manuel No 13 Krul, Timothy Michael Yes 14 Marveaux, Sylvain No 15 Obertan, Gabriel Antoine No 16 Perch, James Robert Yes 17 Simpson, Daniel Peter Yes 18 Taylor, Ryan Anthony Yes 19 Taylor, Steven Vincent Yes 20 Tiote, Cheik Ismael No 21 Williamson, Michael James Yes 22 Jimenez Tejada, Francisco No He's listed in the programme but apparently isn't in the PL squad, he is only in the Europa squad and is not in the managers domestic plans.

Pardew's been picking Williamson ahead of Taylor when all three are fit anyway so it makes no odds. The set piece to Williamson is our only set piece tactic so I doubt he'll be dropped. Hilariously my 9 year old daughter even commented today that we always float it to him and lose it when we did that today and she spends half the match playing with her mobile and stuffing her face.
