  1. I must be going crackers as he says he played 45 minutes, dotcom say he played 45 mins and dotcock say 45 minutes yet i'm 99.99999% sure he played until the 3rd goal went in? It was after we kicked off after the 3rd goal that i noticed Harper and also the people behind me said "here that's Harper in goal now". I was sure Elliott made the save with his knee at the near post just before the 3rd goal?
  2. I don't think those figures quoted are correct mind. 700 for Puma and Virgin?? don't believe that for a second.
  3. No but they might have been thinking about opening it if enough had turned up because I noticed a lot of stewards in level 7 about half an hour before kick off. The lights were on in Level 7 Concourses and there were 2 stewards at each Exit in Level 7.
  4. I agree totally. How Cheap do the tickets have to get before we attract people to come and watch European Football at SJP?? It's embarrassing to hear the EE II EE II EE OH Chant about getting to Europe as our crowds in this competition over the years have been very poor and even under SBR didn't improve any until we were in the Quarter finals.
  5. Only 16K at Bruges last night, 13K under capacity making a mockery of the ticket allocation. Also, i wonder if we're basing our 5% on the ground capacity with the Level 7 closed and are giving them the 1800 that the NE Corner holds? Be fun and games in there with 1800 Bruges if it was kicking off with 400 Frenchies.
  6. Last few minutes?? Last 30 minutes more like as i think he thought he was being substituted before Tiote went off as he was signalling to pardew that he was cattled.
  7. fuck knows but the cunt shouldn't be allowed near SJP again. Absolute farce that he wouldn't leave the pitch and that our stewards just sat with their fingers firmly up their arse watching him act like a total fucking spanner. Reckon they're told to leave them, not like they can escape. Shame a Bordeaux player didn't kick the shit out of them. Cunt. The big centre half had a go at him and tried to make him get off the pitch but got wrong off the referee for doing so and was told to leave him to the stewards. farce that he then kicked off and ended up with it needing 6 stewards to wrestle him off the pitch.
  8. And Obertan to be fair.
  9. Leazes/East corner I think. Same as the Atromitos game. Are the away fans not always in the same corner/stand? Genuine question Usually Level 7 but for cup games/euro games in the early rounds where the ground is unlikely to be full they don't open Level 7 so away fans are housed in either the East Corner of the Leazes End or if there are a fair few of them in the Level 2 and 4 Corners of the west Leazes end.
  10. Was there too, very frustrating night as always when Italians come to defend. Think Dunc was coming back from injury and came on with 30 mins or so left and just proceeded to clatter everything that moved He also miraciously got away with slapping one italian player across the back of his head.
  11. Lost 1-0 in Rome to a penalty given away by Laurent Charvet and drew 0-0 in the home leg which displayed all the cynicism ever associated with Italian football with a few of ours losing their rags (Duncan Ferguson comes to mind as one).
  12. Somebody mentioned they had and received an email back telling them that their application wasn't accepted. Cheers, just wondered if they were accepting all and filtering them, or not. Will keep my eyes peeled on Wednesday. Hoping for a reduction to 75 or 80 points. The form actually says " accepting applications from those with 100 Loyalty Points INITIALLY" so like the mackem tickets dropping to 50 points the points for Bruges may also drop yet.
  13. Neil? PMSL is it really? Or is there 3 of them?
  14. Does it matter? Does to some people mind.
  15. One of the Custis brothers on New Bridge Street at dinner time, nee idea whether it was Shaun or Mark mind.
  16. Somebody mentioned they had and received an email back telling them that their application wasn't accepted. Aye, one of my mates hoyed one in on the off chance and get an e-mail (not automated) response telling him he no chance!
  17. Bloke that normally sits in front of me in Level 7 got one. He said they were handing them out at the top of the stairs when you go in but they weren't at the stairs i went in at.
  18. I'm in the East Stand due to Level 7 being shut. I paid the extra fiver to go in the Platinum Club for Atromitos and was in Row E which is where the exits are and had a line of people stood in front of me for the first 20 minutes looking for their seats. I also never got my free programme either.
  19. Looking back on dotcom we'd lost to Chelsea, Norwich and drew 0-0 in a dire game with Swansea prior to those WBA/Bolton/Liverpool games so we weren't on top form at all.
  20. iirc we'd won away at Bolton and lost away to Liverpool in the preceding 2 games and had lost at home to WBA before that.
  21. Apparently theres 750ish fans with 100 or more points and not all applied but dont know the exact numbers. Either was about 800+ tickets left for other applicants. Odd how they set the bar so high if there are only 750 on 100+ points. Maybe not for this one, but Sunderland for example surely it would make more sense to set the number of points in line with the number of tickets available. Gives them a chance to sort through the applications without being swamped. We've only got 2400 tickets for Sunderland anyway and the number of points has already dropped to 75. 2400 for Sunderland? how come we are losing 600 tickets? i know they have moved the away end but surely the allocation needs to remain the same. Pretty sure we only got 2200 last year due to persistent standing. Liverpool got 2420 at Sunderland due to persistent standing.

  23. Shearer used to go wide a lot and whip in pin point crosses for Ferdinand. He was excellent at creating half a yard for a cross and his delivery was superb. Ginola, Lee, Tino, Beardsley and Gillespie used to create loads of chances for them both though. The 2 big men partnership wasn't really an issue due to the chances we created. Latter years when Shearer then partnered Ferguson, Ameobi or Cort it didn't work as well whereas when he partnered Bellamy it worked a treat.
  24. I think the last couple of times we've tried to go like for like and play 5 at the back we've got possed. Stoke away season before last and Wigan last year.
  25. He he. Aye Atromitos has PL on them. These ones don't have a map of the ground on the back either which i've never known of ever.
