  1. Nile Ranger talking on his mobile phone outside the Halifax on New Bridge Street when i finished work tonight.
  2. Because, sadly, he owns the club and therefore leaves us powerless onlookers as he tarnishes and vandalises our club, our stadium and our history and identity. He makes the rules- and they fucking suck! We aren't powerless. Tell me more... This is the people's club, it isn't Mike Ashley's. It's in our hearts and that should be what matters. Grow up man, we're paying customers of Ashley's business and nothing more. It's his club lock stock and barrel and he can do what the hell he wants and you can't stop him. It's only a few signs man ffs.

Really? Here's the team from the last match. Krul, Simpson, Ryan Taylor, Steven Taylor, Coloccini, Cabaye, Tiote, Obertan, Best, Lovenkrands, Gutierrez Soderberg, Ba, Vuckic, Smith, Marveaux, Sammy Ameobi, Ferguson Sorry, but that bench doesn't look too strong to me as we've got 4 development players on there that have yet to prove themselves up to the level required (one of which hasn't had a 1st team game for that matter), a player coming back from a serious injury, a striker who is looking out of shape and Alan Smith, who actually got time on the field. Of course that team would have had Ben Arfa, Santon, Shoala, Williamson and Harper in if they were fit / available, but then Ben Arfa and Santon would be in the starting 11 in place of Lovenkrands and Ryan Taylor. The transfer business over the summer did nothing to strengthen the squad, and it is still uncertain whether the players are adequate replacements for those leaving, never mind an improvment. Harper's fit though, just out of favour.
  4. Shutters Firmly Shut behind the Leazes Corner Gates at dinnertime with a hand made sign saying "Keep Out The Ground" (no "of")so you can't see in. They have painters busy under the Leazes End Walkway sanding down the metal pillars and repainting them as well.
  5. I've tried and you can't, they keep the Roller Shutters pulled down behind the gates so can't see into the ground anymore.

What an incredibly s*** post. What's s*** about it? Just everything. From the opening sentence to the 'blah blah blah'. Boring, predictable and er boring. Pretty much like 99% of your posts though, so shouldnt be too suprised. So, how many games do you think he'll remain fit for? I genuinely hope every game but just can't see it. Simple really. He can't survive a hard a tackle by the looks of it. The hatchet men will have his card marked already. Literally at my desk shaking my head at your post. Do you think he'll play 20 games this season? Yes, with ease. The statement 'he cant survive a hard tackle' is laughable. It's been shown to be very accurate so far mind. Has it? Wouldn't have had you down as a fan of French football. You watched every game of his, yeah? I'd never heard of him before he joined us but in his NUFC career Crumpy's statement is very accurate. Are you for real? What do you mean? As Crumpy states his NUFC career has been nearly all spent on the treatment table. Ronaldo used to get kicked form pillar to post when he played for Man Utd yet i can't remember him missing too many games. As regards not knowing who he was why would i? I'd never heard of Tiote, Cabaye or Marveux either. Did you watch the Everton game? Took a few considerable knocks there like. I did watch it, he scored a screamer and had a good game but i'm not holding out much hope for him getting much time on the pitch this season.

  9. We definitely did. Probably around 10 years or more ago now and maybe only for a match or two but it did happen. Nah!! I cannot remember that mind, very small time playing music after a goal and am sure we've never done it. We definitely did mate - start of the 99-00 season - 3-3 Wimbledon match iirc! I cannpt remember that mind, but i sat in the Milburn Stand at the time which had had it's roof removed as part of the building work for the extension and perhaps didn't have decent speakers??

  13. Lot of wishfull thinking going on here mind. He's started 3 of Liverpools games and came on as sub in the other. Hardly out of favour is he?
  14. I don't think it is. I think it is signage in bits made from plastic and will peel off. Don't think it will matter for the olympics though with it being on the roof??
  15. I thought it looked tacky when it first went up.
  16. The difference is the generation who grew up standing have been priced out the game and go to the local and watch the match. The lack of passion inside SJP now tells everything you need to know about the type of people who go to football now That's a load of bolloks that like. All the people around me have been going for years, all my mates have went since the late 70's and early 80's and still go now. The higher priced corporate areas are usually the parts of the ground that aren't filled/sold out rather than the more ordinary priced areas. My season ticket Direct debit is £26.88 a month which for 19 home games works out at £16.97 per game or the price of 6 pints in the town.
  17. Losing his place in the team through injury to Williamson has been the kick up the arse he clearly needed and has done him the world of good.
  18. http://www.ealinggazette.co.uk/sport/allsport/2011/09/02/malbranque-lifts-lid-on-retirement-decision-64767-29345021/ ?? who's telling the truth??????
  19. It's because we remember how shit it was being squashed, pushed, having a big fence in front of you making it hard to see the game, bogs overflowing with piss and also having no roof. I personally also remember breaking my arm in a melee at the front of the gallowgate following a goal and subsequently always going in the benches instead of the gallowgate prior to getting a ST in the east stand in 1982.
  20. That's not as easy as it sounds as 200 seats is only about 10 columns of seats rather than a complete section which is easier to police.
