  1. Does that mean a place for Best?
  2. You werent allowed to stand then but you all did in spite of the rules and the failure to prevent that is no doubt a major reason for moving you all to a more policable area So what do you do when celebrating a goal. Sit and clap? It was noted by Llambias himself 'the signing section'. Agreed, no standing permitted but how could they throw 1500-2000 out? And, how come for the 2-3 years it was open, i never lost my season ticket or threatened to have it revoked? Why no letters, why no leaflets on seats? It's their own fault this has happened, but fans are being punished. And if you didnt stop reading it at that point, you may have understood my argument a little better. It is PERSISTENTLY Standing throughout the game that isn't allowed, not standing when a goal is scored or something else exciting happens on the pitch.
  3. Stopped reading at that. You werent allowed to stand then but you all did in spite of the rules and the failure to prevent that is no doubt a major reason for moving you all to a more policable area. It was NEVER created for people to stand, a very simple fact you dont seem to understand. Exactly, it was a SINGING Section not a STANDING Section.
  4. Those signs have always been there in The Milburn mind. Throughback to when there were much fewer women at the match and the mens bogs were always chocka so some people just went in the womens.
  5. If that's true, then I assume they'll be returned 1/19th of their ST cost.......which they'll then use to buy an individual match ticket elsewhere in the ground. Why would they get a refund? If you get banned permanently for breaking ground regulations you don't get a refund.
  6. Close the away section imo, can't have people standing infront of plastic chairs at SJP. Every team i've witnessed bar a few who i cant remeber due to lack of ability to even turn up stood the whole game. Nothing said to those, in fact the stewards were trying to get us to sit all game and we couldnt see anything happening to the opposites. Doncaster game, two guys fell over the railings are walked back to their seats. Not an ounce of pressure on them to sit. Reopen L7 and cheer everyone up, apart from that fat fecker but its about time he was upset for once. Only one to persistently stand are man united. This season Arsenal mostly sat down and so did Fulham. Been the same every year, I've sat in Level 7 Milburn just beyond the leazes End Penalty box since the ground was extended and only man United persist in standing the full game I completly disagree with this statement...it's pretty obvious that from the milburn you can't see what actually happens there. Obviously, last season, i can account for more than 3/4 of away fans constantly standing. I agree, arsenal were awful they always are. I think their only chant is informing us what score it is. Sundarland, Scousers (both sets), Manure, City, Spurs, Villa even stood when they were 6-0 down, Chelsea. The championship though was the best/worse depending which was you look at it for away standing. I mean it was their cup final no matter who came up. I must admit from the SE corner now, it is hard to tell if they are standing or not but i guess they aren't now due to lack of banter with home fans. There's ne one to sing too/wind up/piss off. With regards to banning orders for away fans too, this could be published on their tickets and the same priciple can be applied across the board - Ejection. If they dont sit down hoy them out one by one starting from the bottom. It's a stupid principle but why are the home fans only suffering? The fans who are actually paying ashley to come into his media centre year on year. From where i sit in Milburn Level 7 i can see the entire away end. From the Leazes Corner i'd hazard a guess that you could only see the section nearest to you . The only team to persistently stand for the entire game every time is Man United.

    Leon Best

Only because he wasn't in the team prior to sunday though surely?
  8. Fingers crossed. We need to niggle the cunt from the start of the warm up.
  9. Okay mate. How about we don't pay all footballers on Christmas too then, and Easter for that matter? How about no-one gets paid when they're not working... He has every right to take part in his religious festival, despite the fact me thinking religion is bollocks. Nah, agree with it or not England is a Christian country, so we abide by Christian holidays (which for most people they are just traditional holidays, nothing religious). It's not like Demba Ba has to come into training on Christmas day does he? No, he gets the Christian holidays off aswel. If a religious festival is actualy having an effect on the guys job though then his employers should have every right to tell him to pack it in. If it's worth upsetting the player over in this case is another matter, like. The players train on christmas day though and then head off to a hotel to rest up for the boxing day game. They also often play on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Ronaldo is absolutely spot on here in my john humble.

    Bryan Ruiz

They're both in the Europa Cup, that's what makes them more attractive.
  12. That thought had crossed my mind but i doubt it.
  13. Trust me. It may be getting cleaned who knows But it definetely wasn't there I walked around the outside of the ground yesterday dinnertime and there didn't appear to be any building work going on. HOWEVER, the gates underneath the Leazes Corner where you could stand and look into the ground had a roller shutter pulled down to stop you seeing into the ground so who knows??

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He was pencilled in to play Wolves at the end of last season as well and was no where to be seen. I doubt we'll see him this decade never mind this season.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He wont, but he's one hell of a player anyway. I wish i shared your optimism. He scored a cracker at Everton but did nowt against Stoke and Blackpool and has subsequently suffered 2 serious injuries which may seriously jeopardise his ability to play at the top level. We're putting too much faith in the lad and should have signed another forward in the window.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Too much pressure and hope is being heaped on the lad. You say he's lucky he can play at all, but can he? A pre season game against Darlington is hardly proof of that.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

True. It'll be 2012 before he's back at the races. If at all.
  18. Didn't Shearer's Bar close? Nope, still open and still had customers at dinnertime.
  19. How has he got a medal? I checked the theam and subs for Inters CL win and i can't see him listed? Does everyone in the 25 man squad get one or something?
  20. The long pursuit of a Dutchmen followed by the hurried signing of an Inter Milan cast off?
  21. The flaw in your arguement is glaring, Martins was a crock of shit.
  22. You make it sound like we know what we are doing If these deals are anything to go by, you know exactly what you're doing. You run the risk of upsetting some posters Neil. Ashley and Co are cunts and there's no way past that, all these class signings must be some kind of accident or - ah got it.. they'll sell for more. I think you'll struggle to find anyone who is unhappy with the signings we've made. It's the gaping holes in the squad and lack of willing to push the club as far as possible that pisses people off. 'Gaping' holes? Please clarify. I can understand the latter part of your statement but some people seem unable to communicate clearly if you think it is just that which pisses people off. Well we've been extremely lucky to get away with playing Ryan Taylor at left back for four games this season. Starting the season without a single left back on the books is/was a bloody joke. We've had seven months to work out what to do with the Carroll money and bring in strikers that relegate our Championship-esque strikeforce to the bench or out of the squad altogether and aside from Ba (who I firmly believe like Gosling was signed more because he was available on the cheap rather than with a genuine belief he'd fit what we're trying to do) we're still here fucking around with a day to go. We needed a striker adding going into January, and that was before we sold Carroll. We've hardly any right-wing options that aren't square pegs in round holes, and the same goes for centre back cover. As I said, our signings on their own look great, but there's an almost complete lack of consideration for the overall picture IMO. It's very misleading to suggest that 'the negative people' are unhappy with our signings. We still haven't got a natural left back on our books, Santon is right footed. I'm happy we've signed a full Italian international but am naturally cynical and cautious after previously being landed with Inter cast offs that didn't live up to their billing.
  23. Don't forget the FIP His wGCAA (weighted goals conceded against average) and xDIG (expected defending independent goalkeeping) is far superior to Raylor's, however, he's miles behind Raylor's wFK% (weighted free kick percentage) which accounts for pitch conditions, wind, and wall placement. We need to sign people. I'm fucking losing it. Thanks Sam.
  24. It would make sense if the family enclosure was sold out all the time. More often than not the singing section was totally sold out last year and then the Milburn stand L7 had spaces all around. Family stand is sold out to season ticket holders. Doesn't mean every seat is taken every week for example on Sunday my kids were at a party so i was at the match by myself. Looked around 75% full at best on Sunday like. I don't disagree, but it is sold out to Season Ticket Holders. Also worth noting that the "youth" section of L7 Leazes is still quite lively and were singing throughout both the home games so far. Is it definitely sold out to season ticket holders? Noticed big gaps in there against Arsenal as well, too many for it to be put down to people not being able to make it. The online ticket system always greys out all of Level 7 even though the 18-21 section looks just over half full and definitely isn't sold out and they also grey out the entire North West corner (Levels 2 and 4) and they have only been around 60% full for both games so far. I thought the reason it was extended was because it was sold out? Again, Arsenal game i had no one sitting in the 5 seats to my right but the regular ST holders who sit in them were back for the Fulham game. Holidays, bank Holiday weekend, change of KO date and time were all factors this weekend just gone. Remember Llambias saying it was sold out but i'm not sure that wasn't just to give them another excuse for dispanding those in L7 because there were big gaps in there last season as well, although nowhere near as bad as this season. Their decision not to sell tickets for Levels 2 and 4 in the NW Corner and those seats directly below the away fans is also a bit strange. Level 2 + 4 NW was pretty sparse at the weekend. The block directly beneath the away fans was supposed to be a posher family area last season but i don't think they had a big enough interest in it for it to take off. The tickets were more expensive there than in Milburn L7 for starters for a view from high up behind the goal rather than side on. The only time there's been anyone in that section has been for the games where we've had gates close to capacity or a couple of games last season when soldiers and their families were sat there after being on the pitch being welcomed home from Afghanistan.
