Glad to see him back and pleased his okay. However, it will make not one jot of difference as our problems are all about not having anyone available who can score goals. Conceding goals isn't really a problem for us as, as although we haven't won many games, the games we have lost have been by the odd goal, we haven't been hammered.

Should have had at least 30 minutes match practise on saturday against Charlton at a pace that would have tuned him in better for Thursday on a proper football pitch. Instead he's being risked in a game played on a rugby pitch against kids and people returning from injury where the pace of the gaem is slower and the risk of injury is higher.

To be honest i've never heard of any of them.

http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~920097,00.html Been drafted into tonights reserves. Does this mean he ain't going to Palermo???

Is the right answer, as is the fact that Curbishley would shit his pants if he had to deal with the pressure of working for NUFC.

Tough shit on those who have forked out shedloads of cash and time to travel over and give their support though. Agree, Luque has to play, pointless taking him over there otherwise.

I thought it was a decent turn out as well. I was freezing due to getting soaked walking up to the ground and still got wet occassionaly while in the ground (Milburn L7 blueyes.gif) due to the way the wind was blowing. Didn't look as many there as stated, but was told by a lad that works in the 1892 club that a lot of corporates watched the game on the screens indoors rather than get wet and cold outside, hence those areas of the ground being empty. The weather will have put off a lot of people from paying on the day, if it had have been a dry night more would probably have made the trip over.

That video shows that despite "25 years on the United beat" he still knows nowt about the clubs history. Superb self tucking "For the first time since mickey Quinn Signed in 1988" He signed in June 1989 while i was sunning myself in Corfu and me and my mate both said who? ah nah not him! bluebiggrin.gif

I sympathise with your sentiments, but feel that such things are counter productive and that in any home game more effort should be put into getting behind the team than protesting about the chairman, who to be fair is going nowhere.

Created a reasonably good atmoshpere BUT here are a couple of criticisms :- 1. You're support is fucking shit Was funny and justified when sang at Cardiff but is now boring, repetitive and embarrassing when sung every week. Who was it aimed at anyway? The Tallinn Youth team Players in Level 7 or the rest of the ground? Either way, it is a song that needs to be retired pronto. 2. Parker for England No Non NO NON. Parker for NUFC, England players get injured.

Don't say that or get ready for a load of abuse yourway Meh I can take it. Not excusing his performance tonight and like Alpal said he's just not suitable for the systems that Roeder is playing - BUT I still reckon a happy, confident Luque would have taken one of his chances tonight. Why should we change our system to accomadate him? He's gash. I didn't say we should. I'm just saying he's not showing the desire or ability to change his game to suit Glenn's system. Fair Comment

Agree, total gash, didn't look interested and played like he knew the writing was on the wall for him. and do you blame him? To be honest, the writing was on the wall for him since Roeder took over. Having said that, he should have still performed better today. Unfortunately he is a player who just won't fit into our system. He is not a centre forward, he is not exactly a left wing, he is more of a left forward in an outright 4-3-3 formation (not the 4-5-1 covertible to a 4-3-3) which has rarely been used in EPL and certainly won't be used under Roeder. God knows what Souness was thinking of when he bought Luque, maybe a threesome of Luque, Shearer and Owen or maybe he didnt think he was going to get Owen, so he was planning for Luque, Shearer and Dyer. The only position that I can see him play successfully with us is the 2nd striker behind the centre forward but he's got no chance now with Ameobi and Martins well ahead of him. I've supported him for ages, but if he can't fit into our system of play, then we should try and sell him off provided we don't make a huge loss. Alternatively, we could wait a bit and see if Ameobi can carry on his goalscoring form, if he doesn't then Luque might still have a chance but I'd say chances of that happening is quite remote and I don't even think highly of Ameobi! He could roll his sleeves up and get stuck in. He should have a look at James Milners workrate tonight (admit no real end product but he never stopped running, harrying, chasing back etc) and compare it to his own which was pathetic.

The type of club he is good enough to play for won't be in European competition this season or any other season for that matter. We were fucking robbed by La Coruna, thieves and bandits.

Couldn't be arsed to read more than the first couple of paragraphs. You have far too much time on your hands.

Chopra was offered a new contract but declined the offer and moved. Luque is under contract. Does that answer your question???
-
What period of time is this? Let me get this straight, he started the season with a clean slate yet he's already lost his place and you're saying Villarreal had nothing to do with it? Are you honestly suggesting he lost his place after the Lillestrom game, where he scored our only goal?! They're the only two games he's started. Under Roeder, Chopra got more opportunities than Luque. Fact. How about since we signed him? Ask yourself why Chopra got more opportunities than Luque. Weren't we told all the players got a clean slate at the start of the season? According to you Villarreal had nothing to do with it, so tell me what he has done to lose his place? For fucks sake the season hasn't even started properly yet man, these are still just pre season games even though they have a more competitive edge. Wait and see whther the sackless cunt is in the team to play Wigan and then whinge about him not getting a chance.

Shola was no better against Ventspils than Luque against Villarreal. Considering the level of opposition I expected a lot better from Ameobi. Perhaps he missed having a striker next to him...? We caused Villarreal more problems than we caused Ventspils. You make it sound like it's Ameobi or Luque, yet Ameobi was rubbish without a strike partner last night. I think he got one effort on target and won a few headers. Fact is Luque has been frozen out, look at Roeder's team selections last season. Even Chopra played more minutes than him last season, and he's since been released for nothing. Amoebi is garbage. Luque is not a forward and never will be, nothing more than a panic buy prior to the closure of the transfer window. Chopra may not be good enough for the Premiership but his attitude was spot on, i was also under the impression that as he is under 24 and has come through our academy that we will be due a fee for him of sorts, 1/2 a million springs to mind.

Is he fuck.
-
Why? He isn't a striker anyway.

No, the inter toto doesn't count. UEFA Qualifiers do.
