Why not? They are a well run club, spend little and wisely. They spend little money because they've got little to spend, in fact I can remember when we were linked with Hughes after Allardyce was sacked and he came out in the press saying he can't be expected to keep finding players on a small budget, I think a decent size offer could tempt Hughes to sell if it gives his transfer funds a boost even if he does have to find a replacement for Santa Cruz, he'll more than likely push Derbyshire up to first team regular. Can't see them selling Bentley and Santa Cruz in the summer. Bentley is as good as gone too.

Good enough to what? Win it? We don't have enough match-winners to grab us points we don't deserve. The Liverpool figures are way off, and include £16m or more of Houllier's spending. 8 or 9 of Fergie's squad pre-date Rafa's arrival at Anfield, 5 of ours do. Fergie's been able to pay a higher average price to get the players he wants. The prices are relative and mean nothing. Liverpool have some of the best or if not as good players in the top 4. Liv have struggled scoring in some away games cause the Benny system is too conservative (all the arm waving aside). I agree that Benitez is too conservative in the league. We do have some of the best players in the top 4, too, but our attacking players are well below the standard of Chelsea's, Arsenal's and Man Utd's. Obviously, Torres is the dog's bollocks (22 league goals), and Gerrard is very handy (11), but our other strikers and wingers have only scored 3 or 4 league goals each, which is s****. Kuyt in particular, has scored 3 in 30 games. Of course, you can pin that on Benitez, too, for buying second-rate wingers and strikers so he could feed his fetish for central midfielders. Why does he persist with Kuyt? He is very poor for me, Crouch is far more effective, is it due to the formation? Kyut seems to be right center attacking mid (or something like that)

Not the "well run" ones Newcastle are the 14th richest club in the world (and that's before taking the whole MA situation into account I think). Blackburn aren't even close to the top 30. Meh, ok. I agree too. It's just a shame he has had such a nightmare. The midfield is the problem for me, as highlighted already, especially the wings where natural width and ability is lacking. Quaresma or someone of that type of player would do wonders for Arsenal. Definately, and i am 95% sure we will see a new winger brought to the club in the summer of a high calibre Fingers crossed. Right now, at this point in time, we would be a lateral move. If he is going to leave Blackburn this summer it's going to be for someone in European competition. Oh I forgot, bigger crowds, the first item on every players list when considering a move. Three words: £ £ £ I'd expect £££ isn't an issue at Blackburn, richer than most think. We are not bigger than blackburn with regards to recent form, if anything Blackburn have been slightly better performers over the last two years. Sure, we have more potential, their fan base is a joke, their ground isn't the best, they do however have a chairman who is fair loaded, but not on our scale etc. We are potentially bigger, but currently we really are not. Similar situation with us behind all of the top 4 and level with the rest down to spuds. Players moving between these clubs really doesn't achieve much.

I'd be very suprised if he managed a club bigger than Liverpool anytime soon. No chnace of your Milans and Madrids taking him, he's not that good. I think he is, if only for his very impressive champions league record.
