Koumas probably would improve us. Koumas is s**** why get koumas when you have milner, he's twice the player. No he's not. They're both good but Koumas is technically a better footballer. Milner has a better workrate and attitude though. No idea why Bruce isn't playing Koumas, he's their best midfielder. I reckon Hughes will buy him. Agree Koumas is underused and misused at wigan. Wouldn't be a bad signing at the right price IMO.

I think the best thing this club could do is sit tight in this window, spend the next 4-6 months thoroughly scouting and identifying targets then going about our business in the Summer. These 6 months should be used to fully assess the squad and look at possible improvements. Little steps would be nice. I also agree with the idea of looking at fringe big team premiership players and the better quality lower team players. A player like Doyle or Barnes would be a step in the right direction IMO.

I've posted numerous times as to why I think owen is ineffective, I can't be bothered to write it all here. I prefer Martins as Owen is too "dependent" basically.

Or a Pasquale Foggia who is a little older than Giovinco, on the fringes of the national team. Looks a great player for mid-table Italian sides. Again very creative and someone who is only going to get better over the next 5 years. Foggia is sick. On loan at Catania IIRC. Seen him play on Channel 5 a couple of times, head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch. Amazes me Lazio would loan him out. Giovinco is also highly rated, Juve fans see him as the natural Del Piero replacement. No pressure there like!
