  1. Obviously. Which makes me smile at the chanting "get out of our club". Its his club from top to bottom and fans are customers, no more no less. The ONLY way to see change is to STOP GOING. Nothing else will work. All this crap about "Oh, that will affect the team" is a load of bull. Consistently selling your best players affects the team as does his hiring of gambling buddies into critical positions. The effect of support is minimal in comparison, much as we like to think otherwise. Man City always had a decent support yet they were shite until they got decent owners.
  2. Is it not going into NUFC's coffers? Pretty sure it still is and Sports Direct are just being utilised to replace and run the old shop system for presumably a commission or a flat fee. Holy s***. Maybe we're actually getting it for free! Some how doubt it!! Are we officially a subsidiary of Sports Direct yet? The thing that annoys me the most is the free advertising..... he should pay for that or have the advertizing fee discounted from the amount we owe him. How come its completely free???
  3. What do you expect? The squad is piss poor!! Joke of a f**ing club.
  4. And if/when he goes Postal he may kill Ashley?
  5. It makes no difference who the manager is. Put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig. The problem is the ownership: until we get that changed, the club will be flirting with relegation most seasons.
  6. It's a bit more than a friendly tbf OK testimonial but still amazing really.
  7. I seem to remember you being a big fan of protests against the NUFC board in the past. Thanks for the characteristically cheap shot. No answer to my honest question, however. There have been protests. Did you think they did any good? How's it a cheap shot? For people who are unhappy with the direction and stewardship of the club there's little alternative other than to shut up and meekly accept it. Something you weren't prepared to do under the previous regime. Strange. Still going for the man and not for the ball. I'll rephrase my question yet again, in the probably vain hope of actually getting an answer: If you think any of the protests against Ashley have had a positive effect, please tell me what it was. As a fan it feels like there is nothing else to do: what do you suggest as an alternative?

I think you're missing the point. Sure, we're not spending next seasons inflated money. I get that. Why though can't we spend this seasons? What we spend in January was surely last seasons because we spent almost nowt the summer before, so where's that gone? In fact, over the last 5 years we have a net spend of 0. Behind every other club in the league. Here, have a look: http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-last-five-seasons.html We're not spending any of our TV money ever, so what gives you the remotest confidence that Ashley is going to do anything other than trouser next years as well? Well he does own the club and he can trouser as much money as he wants. Its his money after the fans hand it over. If you dont like the product he provides dont buy it. Its as simple as that. A football club is not the same as any other business! Its a cultural institution that has represented the city of Newcastle for over 100 years. It has been part of some peoples entire lives and is much more than a 'if you don't like it don't spend your money.' Newcastle United is not Mike Ashley's regardless of if he owns it or not. Unfortunately not true: it is absolutely his and he can do with it what he wants. This is exactly what he has been doing and will continue to do so. As with any other company, unhappy customers could cause a change in the running of the company. That is the only solution.... but as long as people show up regardless he has no need to change. I don't think you understand. We are not customers, we are supporters. I understand completely. However, Ashley regards you as a customer...... and one that can be abused and not be lost. A great customer to have don't you think?

  10. Much easier to get into the CL with a Rangers..... although the TV deal for the SPL is much lower...... does it work out to be a better investment than us... not sure.
  11. JFK will take over, no question about it Oh Joy.
  12. Amen. Some people on here do nothing but slag Keegan off....... but he's as honest as they come.
  13. The Mags view is a little extreme but lets face it he just isn't good enough. "Good enough" includes a desire to succeed: sadly lacking.
  14. Marveueux sounds way too much like Marvelous, which he clearly isn't. Haven't we signed enough 2nd rate Frenchmen?
  15. Two games in a week.... tired..... too many games..... injuries......blah blah blah
  16. Whats up with Bigi? He looked decent last year now looks like worse version of Tiote.
