  1. We are really in the crapper next season without Remy. The fat controller must be quaking at the thought of having to open the cheque book.... but if he doesn't we are bottom 3 material.
  2. Might just be something to do with that calf strain??

    Loïc Remy

    Use the force Luuk, 1-1.
  4. I wanted to post something like that, but I just couldn't think of any way of saying it without sounding like a c*** Weezer nailed it. Sounds like they have a high opinion of themselves, not entirely sure on what grounds. Experts because they say so??
  5. Steady on. Was this irony or does he really believe that?
  6. Who cares about Pardew. Its Ashley that needs to be run out of town before we can move on.
  7. But think of the profit of mid table PL mediocrity. Much more important than lifting the cup
  8. Arab Oil 1 - Football 2. Nice!!!!
  9. Wonder if she's happy her email is now fully in the public domain It already was, what with her being an MP and that. Never looked for an MP's "work" email, wasn't sure if it was easily available or not. Jesus wept.
  10. What was shaming to Sir Bobby was the abuse he got at the Wolves game by the "fans". On a roll slagging off our fans arent you..... Ive got wise, Hes a Mackem in Disguise. Yawn. At the Wolves game people were going nuts. Bobby was a "senile old c**t" etc etc. My memory is pretty good ..... obviously yours isn't.

  12. I wouldn't wear their strip either but then again my dad didn't support them. All I'm saying is the hatred directed to a bunch of people from 10 miles down the road (and vice-versa, granted) is pathetic. And yet the very same people climb on their collective high horse and spout off that Pardew is some sort of lunatic. Hilarious double standard.
  13. Didn't Keegan complete the Great North Run in a half black and white and half red and white strip? Some of the small town mentality such as the comments on here is exactly why the national press pokes fun as much as it does.
  14. I've been saying this for a long time. How amazing would it be if we could have banter about our successes, rather than taking the p*ss out of each other because of our failures ? We can always hope. Anyway, I had an amazing day yesterday with my 10 year old son. I'll not lie, I was gutted by the result, but very pleased with the way the team played. Two wonder goals finished us off, and sometimes you have to hold your hands up in defeat and admit the better team won. As a Sunderland fan, days like yesterday don't come very often, and I lapped it up. I want more, and if we beat Hull at the weekend we could be doing it all again ! Special mention for the referee yesterday, he was excellent. Back to the real world today though, and most of the league results went our way over the weekend, so it's not all doom and gloom. Glad you had a good day out with your son. Aye it was brilliant, he takes defeat better than me, which is a useful attribute when you're a Sunderland fan I hope you stay up. Moving away has made me see things from a different perspective. I too would much rather see the rivalry based on success rather than failure. People still pushing this horseshit? I too would like you too stay up, for I love getting bummed 3-0 every season and becoming the ource of local and national ridicule. Its a big world out there. Small minded views are what will bring you ridicule.

  16. Robbie Savage telling people how they should behave. Right, ok.
  17. I agree with Ian here. Faux outrage just about sums it up. Pressure is obviously getting to Pardew, but no point replacing while Ashley is still in charge.
  18. He went up in my estimation. Didn't think he cared that much. The number of self righteous t%%s on this board is amazing. I guess Remy should face the firing squad too?
  19. Many of which we are now repeating. I'm not as hateful of Pardew as most: he's average. My problem is with the owner: after being relegated the last time you would have thought that he would know that a top class striker in particular is needed to maintain PL status. However, he we are with 2 on loan strikers, another who is woefully out of form and one who is past it (if he ever had it in the first place). I'm very concerned that without the individual goals of Remy that we will be in relegation bother next year. The midfield is not creative, requiring a striker that can feed off his own scraps. Who will that be once he is gone?
  20. Sooooo sad all of this. LOVE IT!!!!
  21. If we don't replace Colo we are doomed. Ideally we we have him stay but that does not look likely.
  22. I mean more from the perspective of what I saw during the Keegan years (#1 time as manager). I was walking in Notting Hill and saw our shirts all over the place. We were on the verge of challenging as top dog in England. You can see the same with Man City today: I see their shirts here in the USA now, whereas a few years ago it was all Chelski and Manure. And more shirts = more revenue, both for NUFC and SD
