You are right they are mostly back-ups that should not be near the first team of one of the best supported clubs in the country. The lack of investment is and has been atrocious.

If we sign a couple of defenders we will be OK. But I have no confidence we will actually do this.... the mindset is that we have all that injured talent not contributing and "taking" revenue.

Utter nonsense. This is a good a reason as any for Ashley to invest in some competent defenders. Its been the same for the last 2 season, the guy is a complete w**ker who will not spend.... just wants to keep us in the Prem and takes a chance on us going down. So long as we are 1 place above the drop that will be fine by Cashley.

I don't really moan that our fans are an embarrassment. I accept that a lot of them are, but just ask that you respect that a lot of them are not. A lot of Newcastle fans are an embarrassment too, we just have less glory hunters. Wouldnt we have to have some glory to have ANY glory hunters. I was -6 months the last time we won owt.
