I've never understood the fascination with Lucas. I've seen him have some good games, fine. But some people rate him way too highly. He's the definition of average midfielder. Better than what we have, and I'd probably get a shirt with his name on the back for the sake of it, but he's not class by any means. IMO

An awful player doesn't score 12 goals. I agree tha the wasn't up to his normal standards, but let's be honest, if Willian is your best player during a season and by quite a distance something is wrong with the team. Costa is a very good player, despite being a despicable human being. Wijnaldum scored 11 and most people on here think he isn't all that and that from a midfielder. Not really about how many scored but when he scored them, he was awful last season IMO and his stats ( which are not very good anyway) won't change my view on that. I do accept that there was something wrong with Chelsea however. I'm not sure I agree, he was below his standards, but awful? Same goes for Wijnaldum, he was inconsistent, but awful? Never. Awful for me is the definition of a Mike Williamson and Steven Taylor partnership.

I think they could do well if they get couple of signings in. Right now it looks like they're relying on Vardy and Drinkwater to have the same kind of season. Mendy is a good replacement for Kante and Musa is a good signing. Still think they need to make major signings to succeed, or maybe they just feel like giving these other players a chance to play CL football and not care about solidifying a place in the top 8. Mahrez, Mendy, Musa, Drinkwater and Vardy are good players, but still think they need two or three new defenders and a new left-winger and striker if they really want to get another European cup spot.

Well he's always just been this extremely talented player who lack any sorts of mobility. People hoped he'd become much more mobile and dynamic, but his game is just made for walking football. He's a classy immobile player, which leads to him being a bit too inconsistent. Don't think he'll be a hit in Sevilla, but hope he succeeds as he's just one of those classy footballers with a very good left-foot and vision. Who else has had that type of style? Kevin Nolan and maybe Berbatov? Kevin Nolan? Kevin Nolan is pretty much the opposite of Ganso while sharing the same immobility. As for Berbatov, he was a striker, much different kind of player. Ganso is just really immobile. He's a like a less fluid Rivaldo with not as great of a left-foot but possibly a better vision of the game. I mean he's really really talented player, just lacks the dynamicity to play at the top European level in my opinion. There's few clips out there that shows his talent.
