  1. The quality isn't there though. And with regards to growth, what European leagues can grow so to speak? They're already established. It might just crack the top 20 of European leagues in terms of quality. So yeah, it's not all there yet. Doesn't mean the games aren't entertaining and filled with talented players. I'd much rather watch a Seattle-Portland game than some of the fare served-up in the Premier League this season, including many of our own matches. Fastest growing league that might crack the top 20 in Europe, making it possibly cracking the top 25 in the world? How fast must it grow before you can enjoy genuine quality in that league for you not to die before?
  2. I think there's an error in conflating the exception with the norm. Atletico winning this year doesn't vindicate the fact that La Liga has been a two-club shop every year since Valencia torpedoed themselves. Obviously there's no such thing as a statistical impossibility, and there are all kinds of cups in every country so even smaller teams will win sometimes (that's probably why cups still exist), but I just happen to think that the disparity in prospects for success between a small subset of clubs and other clubs is too large. Of course you could think that while the disparity exists, it's still within reason. that's a subjective judgment call and entirely up to you. Haven't really followed this whole conversation, but two questions, firstly haven't football always been like this even without the mass influx of money into leagues? And secondly what do you suggest is the best way to go, what system would you have implemented?
  3. v Danny Simpson and Joey Barton
  4. Is absolutely shite Thought they'd be a bit better at least.
  5. These two fucking teams. This isn't football ffs.
  6. Sitting here hoping Barton embarrasses himself
  7. Never seen an as scared player as him when he first arrived. It was like he was afraid of the ball, gradually got better but think it was the right move to get rid tbf.
  8. Would be an excellent signing.
  9. Aye I got half of mine the other day. Dad picked them up in Brazil. Can't wait to pick up the rest myself when I get there 1st of june. What category are the tickets?
  10. This guy has mental disorder for sure.
  11. Neither does Pardew. It's a shame, but again, you don't learn a new language in six months. So if they expected him to learn it fluently in six months it was a terrible appointment to begin with.

I like that attack. That midfield and fullbacks will be played out of the park by better teams. Those fullbacks are very 'meh' defensively as well. Good CB pairing and okish goalkeeper. Will be up to Rooney if you guys want to have a successful one I guess. Seems a lot of team are relying on one player to succeed.
  13. So he's sacked for only getting 15 points from 17 games. Points we managed in our last 17 games? 16. Compare our squad and if Mel is sacked Pardew should be hung.
  14. Mel gone but Pardew isn't? Fuck this shit.
  15. He is better than both, but I'm not sure he is good enough to start for Chelsea or City tbh.
  16. He's better than Sterling and Coutinho and more consistent. No idea though where he'd start.
  17. Flagged for offside in a play where the player was probably 10 yards onside today. You guys know the drill right? Cruzeiros director of football told her to go pose for Playboy magazine or something as she's not cut to be a lineswoman in this league but is good-looking.

Their fullbacks have easily been their worst performers this season, and to be quite frank, Flanagan who is a nothing player who sticks to basics has done better than him. Atrocious is myabe a harsh word, but I know those are the words being used by my Liverpool supporter friends. No one rates him. Honestly, Dani Alves who is a terrible RB at the moment is twice the player 'GlennyJ' is.

4 of those started to shine when Suarez made the team work. Without him I think you'll struggle. Stephen Carr who once was picked as the best RB in the league? Yeah I agree, under us he was, the same way Glen was this season.

I've said this already but Hodgson has absolutely no excuses if we have a s**** tournament this time. He's got an extremely talented squad at his disposal, the vast majority of whom are coming off the back of fantastic seasons. He's also got variety in there and, like you say, could play it this way or that way - any way he wanted to, really. I'm not saying we should win it (and I'm certain we won't), but I expect us to make a real go of it. I personally think England will crash out early. That team doesn't look 'extremely talented' at all IMO. There'll be no Suarez to help the Liverpool guys and their weaknesses will show. Rooney hasn't had the best of season and Glen Johnson is an atrocious rightback and Hart is such an average keeper.
  21. One of them is a poster in here, not sure about the other one though.
