TBF both have been carrying knocks past week and Costa was subbed off couple games ago. Was always a risk to play them.

What'd he do? Changed his allegiance to Spain. Exactly. Definitely a reason to laugh at a quality player potentially missing the World Cup due to an unlucky hamstring injury. And the title decider and the CL final. Flip is a f***ing horrendous person. Skip my post completely, make your own conclusion and hop along.

Real won CL, Atletico the league, Austria the Eurovision.

What's the karma for? Did he purposefully injure someone? What'd he do? If you figured it out then tell Mike please.

It better be for Arsenal's sake. I'm not sure. If he really been given money to splash but hasn't then yeah fine, otherwise I don't see many managers doing a better job than he has with that squad. he is solely responsible for this squad and its not like they're on a pittance its well over 100m a year spent on wages by them just badly spent by Wenger. He's been great for them but his time has come If he is then fine, but he's been outspent by his competition and yet has been sitting top 4 for the past I don't know how many seasons. I think his time might come as well, but I'm just saying Arsenal have to be careful as the it's not always greener on the other side. I very much doubt the next manager will have to wait nine years to win another trophy. Like I said, I'm not necessarily disagreeing, just saying we'll have to wait and see I guess. Do think you guys think next manager will come in and win them a trophy and I don't think it will be that easy. Actually I'd be willing to wager a bet if he's gone they won't make top 4 next season.

Karma is a bitch if Costa misses the World Cup. Actually hope it's not too bad and he can play in the CL final.

He spent over 40m on a player they didn't need. A player who together with Ramsey basically had them sitting first until he started getting knackered for playing too many games? Alright. A better striker or two would have been of better value to their squad. Unfortunately the one they wanted wouldn't go for the type of money anyone would be willing to spend at that time. In hindsight it's easy to blame him, but Suarez was coming off another 5 game suspension and all and Giroud had a rather good end to the season. No one knew he'd actually decline after a very good first season. they didn't need Ozil they needed a striker to help giroud, I dare say they could find a fairly good one with a 40m budget. Give me one for £40m that would've come and improve the side more than Özil did.

Although Payet is pure But then again, probably play him right wing to help cover for Raylor after set pieces...

What's happened to Townsend, he was billed as the second coming of Christ not long back by the media. Been hampered by injuries? Although 25 games, 0 goals and 1 assist doesn't help his cause. He's still a kid. If the media leave him the f*** alone instead of heaping pressure on him and he continues to concentrate on his football then he'll still be a very good player. So if the media leaves him the f*** alone he'll be able to concentrate on his football? Shouldn't he be able to do that anyways if he has any sort of talent? Those were two separate conditions joined by an "and." I'll let you off, English being your 8th language or something. Fair enough, still, if he can't handle ''pressure'' from media he shouldn't be a footballer. That's a very broad statement to make. There's a significant difference between the pressure coaches and fans will put on him to perform at his best and the crap the media pull. He's still only 22 and may or may not have the maturity to deal with it. Some do, some don't but at his age it's never helpful. Setting unrealistic expectations and tearing him apart when he inevitably fails to meet them is never going to work out well. If some 22 year olds can deal with that then good on them. But it certainly won't have helped them. Realistic goals, targets, areas for improvement with some constructive criticism, fine. But that's not what the media supplies. Again fair enough if that's your opinion, I just don't think a 22 year old footballer should be feeling pressure from media. But then again, there are some fragile minds out there. The English media can be especially brutal though... I think I lot of their absolutely dire international tournament experiences can be traced, at least in part, to the complete media nightmare that follows them everywhere. Especially all those penalty issues... It kind of reminds me of the new york yankees, where a lot of players who are very decent players just can't handle the fishbowl scenario of playing for the yankees and they collapse. You sincerely believe the media in the UK is worse than the media in South America? I just like how players like Bernard, Neymar and others are commenting on questions if they're feeling pressure now that they're probably going to play in the most important tournament for a nation of 200 million people in over 60 years. Pressure doesn't exist when you're on the pitch, you prepare your whole life to be a footballer and you translate that pressure into something positive. I'm not questioning Luca's reasoning, I just think players should give up if they're feeling too much pressure to be able to perform. (which I also realize Townsend hasn't said either which makes this whole discussion pointless) sorry about that

He's only ever scored 19 career league goals, 9 of which were at Leeds What is this?
