Why play with a holding midfielder? It's pointless in international football in 2014. Gerrard's the best option to sit deep and concentrate on playing the better pass. Is Wilshere out for this? A trio of Gerrard, Wilshere and Lallana could easily work letting Lallana play a bit more advanced.

I'd be shocked if Brazil, Argentina, Spain or Germany don't win it this time. I look at Italy, Holland and Portugal and none of their squad appeal to me in any way. England are obviously two teams who could beat anyone on a good day but I doubt they will win it.
