The thing with Carroll is that he's young and can develop so much, but he can also just stall in his development and be a one season wonder. But I'd rather take our chances on him and hope he develops into that quality striker than let him go and see him develop into that player at another club. If he's only a one season wonder, than bad luck, but we know his potential it's just up to him to perform at that level for as long as he can and at the club he has always supported.

We need a striker ffs. Ameobi/Best/lovenkrands/Ranger aren't the players who till take us forward next to Carroll. We need a fast striker. If Ireland does come and he does play he's best football we have to play Nolan up top behind Carroll. No point in taking him off the field.
