We’ve not been bad, but the game is an awful watch. Doesn’t seem to be any atmosphere in either end. I’d take this if we hang in and hopefully get a chance or two at the end. I’d like to see Osula too, and Miley at some point.
-
Oh! You mean location. Not sure if you’ve seen, but the new stadium will overlap the same footprint.
-
The history of the current ground goes back 25 years, half of which were utterly horrific and not to be remembered fondly.
-
We’re never winning there. Perform well and they’ll sort it out to batter us at Wembley. You can’t really, but I’d love to just to put the reserves out.
-
Without getting political as it’s not really the thread, but to say that the government ‘cancelled A1 upgrade’ when it was never funded in the first place isn’t really true.
-
Can’t see any chance of the government calling it in. They’re desperate for investment and growth. Trump spent half of one of his tedious speeches last week praising Yasir and joking away with him. While the government are trying to build connections with the likes of Saudi Arabia, they’re not going to call something in because some people are upset a stadium might be built in a run down park in an area they’ll be worried about Reform.

Very good. I’d like him to take a shot more often when he has space at the edge of the box though. First intention is to play it wide, but he strikes the ball so well you’d think he’d be a better taking the shot on on occasion.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m chuffed with the win and doing the double over a team doing so well, and the table looks great. But I can’t see that second half performance giving the players any confidence in closer games when teams are trying to put pressure on. There are a lot of question marks at the moment.
-
Not sure it was very rejuvenating in all honesty.

Chuffed with a win that to be honest I wasn’t expecting, but Jesus that second half performance. The decision making and complete lack of being able to do anything to combat the changes Forest made at half time was extremely concerning. Awful passing and trying to keep ahold of the ball when under pressure from the likes of Schar and Tino. Bruno just disappeared.

I had chilli loaded fries at the Bromley game and have to say I was impressed.

We could do with a good one tbf.

Maybe he’s just someone who isn’t/wasn’t massively into football. It’s allowed. Bit different from someone who’s life is half dominated by football changing teams.
-
He’s not working miracles like. We’ve got many players we’ve spent £40m plus on and have internationals from many of the top nations. I’d say it’s about par in the league given we don’t have Europe. We had a really average start, an exceptional run, and have been pretty average again for the last 5 games. If you think he’s working miracles it would be interesting to know where you’d expect us to be given our team/squad. I’m not anti-Howe and I want him to stay as I see him as the best person manage us, but there’s no point exaggerating or ignoring things that we need to improve on.

PSG? It was before the Milan game which ended up mattering. Southampton were shite, as were Sunderland. The survival games were years ago. I did try and separate big games with the season defining type games, but you clearly just ignored that. I’m not including early round cup ties or league games in the middle of the season, regardless of who they’re against. I’m meaning the chips are down and you achieve something type games.
-
Everyone’s batting aside Man Utd and Spurs. They’re bottom half teams.
-
Don’t agree with that. There’s big games like today, then there’s big games like Cup Finals and end of season games to achieve something. We’ve been pretty poor in a lot of the big games for me. Milan (h), Man Utd at Wembley, Man Utd (a) last season, draw with Leicester in a frightened performance to qualify for the CL which thankfully was just enough. You can point at a few outliers like Arsenal a couple weeks back, but I still think there’s a concern about the mentality in the big games.
-
Mentality of this group of players needs questioned. Something you couldn’t do a couple of years back, but the difference between a good Newcastle performance, and the turgid lackluster performances like this is unacceptable. Can’t just rely on the crowd to get them up for it.
-
Apologies if I’m being stupid or missing something obvious, but if he’s on the cup scheme why would you be buying him a ticket for games? I thought everyone on the cup scheme just had their payment taken automatically for each game.
-
Probably. Ha. I was in the lower tier and stood. Tbh, the view was pretty shit. Pros and cons.
-
534 row 6 for me. Hopefully people are standing.
-
All lower gone apparently.
-
There’s surely won’t be many left after this pot. You’d think most people in the queue are buying for others too. My mates getting them for 6 of us in this pot and he’s sitting around 9000.
-
I remember going to watch them in the away end at Livi with Burley in charge. Vlad was in the crowd and Hearts had 3 of the stands. Not sure how far it was into the run but they won 4-0
-
I couldn’t get energised about people complaining of losing loyalty points they picked up years ago. Me and my mates used to go all over 15-20 years ago as you could get tickets for nearly every away game as a member. Didn’t pick up a loyalty point between us. It’s so complex now, it’s hard to think of anything that the club would do that wouldn’t get some people angry. Can totally understand the anger of many who feel stuck though, and occasions like a cup final has to cause upset when you think you’ve got no chance.
