Macheda has never looked decent to me. A couple of highlight goals in his first few games, and as always the media put a Man Utd youngster up as the next big thing. The current hype around Jones, Cleverly, Smalling and Welbeck is ridiculous. Even then, Macheda is nowhere near their standard.

He looks decent, but the rest of his team totally shite so far.

Just realised before, I have seen him play. I went to Rochdale-Charlton last season and stood on the terrace behind his goal. The Dale fans kept giving him pelters but he was just laughing it off. His kicking wasnt great and Rochdale won 2-0.

We've had months to bring in a left back, or at least have a plan for when the inevitable happened. This, and the striker hunt is a bit of a disgrace really! Should have been sorted for the season, never mind Sunderland.

If we had a left back in and a decent striker, I would be pretty happy. However we look pretty toothless at the moment. Not looking forward to the game, not that they're anything special.

I thought Shola was better in the first half tbh. Touching the ball helped.

I'm yet to be convinced of him. Thought he was very poor yesterday, worse than Shola even. That said, ive not seem him enough to comment much further. He was pretty poor at Leeds. Beyond that all ive really seen of him were his goals at West Ham where most of them came from goalmouth scrambles. Hopefully he starts to show a little more.
