How the fuck did Greece qualify. Their group must have been fuckin shit.

Good on him. One of our best players since promotion in 93. Unfortunatly bullied out of the club by that cunt Souness. Did he not go and visit terminally ill kids most days after training here too?

Micktoon, like it or not, kits are fashion items now as well as just a piece of clothing a sportsman wears. They make a lot of money for clubs and I think fans who are forking out £40 for a shirt deserve something better than a piece of cheap shit with a sown on badge as opposed to a proper embroided one. The 'toon army' thing on th coller is shocking compared to the AC Milan embroided thing on their shirts a couple years back. You may be happy strutting about in a mass produced generic top made for pennies by some poor Cambodian with a badge sown on afterward, but some people have pride in their appearance and the image of their club.

They all look fuckin shit tbh. Cheap as fuck and the kind of generic kits you can buy for your Sunday league team. And how many people actually cared about the black cat thingy? I'd much rather a black cat on a decent top than that travesty of a shirt.

Was planning on it, but then I heard it was at Wembley so probably not.

Real football on BBC Alba, channel 168 on Sky.

Jonas v Barnsley definatly for me. Love seeing goals like that. Then the celebration. Amazing. After that, Guthrie v Leicester.

Chuffed with this fixture.

If he resigns we're up shit creek without a paddle. Who in their right mind would take the job?

Stu, At no point did I say that money means success, however spending none, when we went down last time without a midfield is a joke. If anything we need more numbers in which will mean spending a little bit. I didn't expect tens of millions to be spent, but we could at least do with getting some back up in. We're also desperate for a goalscorer and a central midfielder both better than what we have. We won't get those by spending nothing.

Depressing state which wasn't really needed. They have no idea when to speak and when to just shut the fuck up. We NEED to spend a bit of cash this summer. I can understand being careful, but I can't believe he hasn't seemed to have learned from the last relegation season. Another thing, how the fuck is Llambais still in a job? I can't think of anything he has done or which has been good. He constantly puts his foot in it. Surely Ashley can find someone better for the job.

I had no idea there was a pitch inspection until I watched those highlights. Glad I didnt know on the day.
-
Thought he had a few good touches when he was on and was getting himself into good positions. Would have liked to have seen him on for longer. Looking forward to pre-season for him to be given more of a run out.

Quailty day out. Recovering now.

It would probably be similar to having the Grand Prix in Bahrain. They try their best and spend millions trying to put on a good show, but its nothing on the European events. Everything about it is dull and shit.

What are their hardcore fans attitude towards Newcastle? I'm from Berwick and there are loads of fans who support Berwick and Newcastle or Berwick and Sunderland, but there's also an element of Berwicks support who hate Newcastle and how fans travel from Berwick to go and watch us. Do any Gateshead fans get pissed off with their townsfolk ignoring their team and just following Newcastle?

So Cole thinks the four players who played in our weakest position when we are relegated are the only ones good enough. Hahaha.
-
I've not liked him since that semi-final. He was an absolute disgrace that day. He's been fuckin awful this season, but that said, we don't know the influence he's had in the dressing room. He could have done a lot more behind the scenes in getting the squad together and keeping them close throughout the season, along with some of the other senior players. Would I let him up first to lift the trophy though? No

Not that anything I ever say is very interesting.

NUFC ranked 20th in most valuable football club according to Forbes

I think relegation did that tbh. A gradual rise without repeating mistakes of the past will do me fine. -
I would like to think so, but some players who do give 100% have had stick in the past. Nolan and Smith even at points of this season, not so much on the terrace, but certainly places like this. They ALWAYS give 100% but have limitations and people pick up on it and have a go at them, despite the effort they put in. Smith being hardworking etc is one of the biggest myths surrounding our squad though. Spends far to much time sitting far to deep, taking the easy option, trying to play the extra central defender role rather than putting the effort in breaking up play. If he can't do it at this level he doesn't stand a chance next year. Our midfield as a whole shows far more effort without him. I agree mostly. I think he's past it, and was never really very good in midfield anyway, however, he gives 100%. He's limited in his ability, but I would never give him stick for it.

Fair play to them. However can anyone else remember Cardiff playing the Blaydon Races when we beat them earlier in the season too.

Agree with this. Wouldnt go as far as saying its been a blessing in disguise, but there have been alot more positives than I expected about relegation. I wouldnt have liked to have seen the state of us now had we stayed up last season on the last day.
